Okay, I will admit that I may have missed the thread about this.  I travel some for work and I do miss things.  However:

Has anyone noticed the irony of the 2009 awardee of the Nobel Peace Prize hosting a dinner for the guy imprisoning the awardee of the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize?

And is satisfied that he is "working on human rights violations"?

Is it just me doing a "face-palm"?

Aylee, if you get the 2011 prize, it will make the irony even more biting.

Yes, we know that I am a Heartless Bitch.

What have I suggested that is wrong this time?

Excuse me?  Why the hell would I ever do that?

The closest I have ever came is that sing-along-reality-show.  And that was because I was in a bar in the middle of Nebraska.

Seriously, if there is a thread about this I would appreciate being directed to it.

Nope, you didn't miss the thread.

You the first to bring it up.

It could be used to highlight hypocrisy on the left, but why bother. Its like shooting fish in a barrel.

The Nobel is basically meaningless these days anyway.

Have you ever tried shooting fish in a barrel?

It is more difficult than it sounds.

Why is that, do you think?  Yes, I know that will cause thread drift.

It hadn't occurred to me that way, Aylee, but you are absolutely right. Realpolitik requires such things as this, sometimes, but I hope the President at least gave the guy a mention.

Is there anything you can buy in America that wasn't manufactured in China?

Did not realize I was complaining.  I thought that I had pointed out it was rather surreal.

Yet, I will thank you for that notification.

But just for your edification, my next purchase will likely be a book.  Made in the USA.

It is that whole "reading" thing that I do.
