my advice from experiences, not any of your fancy schmancy book lernins ^_^:

1. It's impossible to breathe with a cock in your throat. DO NOT TRY. Attempting to breathe and being unable to sends you into panicky gagging spasms. Well, for me at least. You have to take a breath before it goes in, and learn to keep your breathing still til the cock comes out

2. Make sure your master understands the above. it has to go in and out, giving you a chance to breathe in between. Bad things happen if he tries to just stick it in and keep it there. If he's going to fuck your throat, it's best that he picks a pace and sticks to it, so you can time your breathing accordingly

3. Not eating beforehand helps lots too as previously mentioned. vomiting is un-fun

4. position is important. For really deep penetration you ideally want to have your neck elongated, and your head tilted upwards. In a normal sitting/standing/kneeling pose, your mouth goes only so far back, then makes an almost 90 degree turn downwards

5. Also pay attention to the way his cock curves (if it does?). A lot will curve upwards to some degree, and with those you can achieve far deeper penetration by going upside down. A 69 position works well

This is what I've gotten from my experiences so far, but I'm still learning at it. I've never been able to hum while swallowing a cock, the necessary motion just seems impossible because it requires exhaling

@Nanako -- good point on breathing! though if you've ever played an instrument, and learned circular-breathing, that can be a little useful at times.
still, that tends to tickle my throat and make me gaggy, so i just hold my breath as long as possible.
