Citronella oil (derived from lemongrass) is an effective non toxic insect repellant. I've used both the topical use variety and candles containing the oil.

Seconded on the Avon Skin-So-Soft. It's not exactly a manly smell, but it's better than being sucked dry 3 drops of blood at a time.

I sure as hell wouldn't use skin so soft to protect me from West Nile Virus... Lemon eucalyptus is more effective than citronella; and citronella needs to be applied every 30-60 minutes. I make votive candles and soaps from both.

I'm a nudist I don't wear clothing in my home, so unless there was some way they could clip onto nipples, there'd be nothing to clip to haha. All though if they worked and the skito's just didn't simply go bite lower / higher on my body. Well you could just set it on the table next to you. It doesn't have to be attached to your body unless you like duct tape :)

Burn a citronella or pyrethrin candle in the bedrrom Wear skin-so-soft when outdoors. Or, go high tech with the mosquito repelloent bracelets.. they actually look like a flea collar around the wrist but actually do work for 3-5 days. Stefan

Yes, I know for a fact they're miskito's. Ahhh, i forgot where you lived and being in the worst snow riddled winter in TN my history of being here lol and from Chicago, i forget some parts of the rest of the country aren't living in a replica of the North Pole with snow and ice every other day in January. angel

Jus light some incense. Most repellents work to mask the co2 the lil bastards are hunting you by. DEET deters them cuz it's a poison to them an you. If it is a sleeping issue, open your door, light an incense give them bout 20 min and close the door an go to bed. They will be overwhelmed by the aroma and go elsewhere.
