MistressDelilya -> Feeding A Slave (1/29/2011 12:25:22 PM)

I have been communicating with a man who has presented himself as a slave. We are only talking at this point, but something interesting (to me anyway) came up in our conversation.

He says that he is a gourmet cook, but that when he was with his Mistress, she fed him substandard food, out of a bowl on the kitchen floor. Now I am by no means an expert on anything, but with Mark, he ate what I ate, only at my feet.

I understand that every relationship is different, and that people negotiate their own terms. It got me to thinking though, if this was a common practice with slaves, or what others opinions might be. What is substandard food anyway?

Looking to learn and appreciate any input you may be willing to give.

As you say, every relationship is different and each to their own etc....

Pet animals eat off the floor and they eat "sub standard" food compared to us. Which is another way of saying our delicate digestive system can't tolerate what constitutes food to other species....

Personally, I never got this de-humanising type of dynamic and IMO, it reflects negatively on the dominant's mentality and personality issues. Sure, every now and then to put the slave in her place etc but I still prefer to eat with humans.

Focus.

Dammit...too late again...[8|]

OK - I would consider anything to have been bought from beneath the sign of the golden arches to be seriously substandard.

Not just meatloaf.

My one and only experience of meatloaf was in 1991, in the canteen at an AT&T office.

I swear to god there's still a chunk of it lodged in my lower intestine somewhere.

Did Holly ever work in a canteen before her medical career, I wonder?

In a serious answer to your post...eating on the floor from a dog dish is not our kink at all, but to each their own and not mine to criticize.

That said...it is the "substandard" label that bothers me. If a Dominant assumes responsibility for a submissive, that responsibility has to carry through in all areas. A proper diet is essential and feeding only a lower quality of food is bordering on abuse. The Dominant really should be ashamed of him/herself.

As the former celebrity vet on Oz television, Dr Harry often observed that if you don't proactively own your cat (enforcing rules etc), your cat instinctively takes over owning you....

"Dominant" isn't about wishing.... lol

And holly, cats have no issue letting you live there because you ARE the designated bringer of their food. Just don't be late 'cause they *will* find you....

Focus.

Quick vote in here.  The dish on the floor thing might make for a good embarrassment/humiliation bit of play, but I can't see it on a regular basis.  Yes, clip eats at My feet at home.  The same food as I do.  In restaurants, he eats at the table, just like everybody else.

yeah, and if you enforce the rules on a Birman she shows you just how powerful she is...[8|] I enforced the rules NOT to eat snails/slugs when she was pregnant (and not when she isnt pregnant either) and took twice her "food" away when she brought in a slug...only to find her peeing proud on my sofa once I returned after I chucked out the second slug she'd brought in....that breed truly has more of an attitude issue than normal cats already have...

But apart from that I know that I need to enforce rules more, the problem simply was that I wasn't much at home the last 3.5 years with studying, working and attending placement from uni...there they did rule the flat a lot....my 3 typical cats are not that much a problem when I eat either but the birmans don't take a no for an answer, they just laugh at me when I tell them no with words or with actions [8|]

Me neither, but BoiJen described how she makes it once, and it did sound highly delicious...

Back on topic (yeah yeah, I know it's a first for me!) - we could consider 'substandard' to be a relative term rather than an absolute.

For example, the Dominant gets fillet steak, the submissive gets supermarket own-brand meatballs. That sort of thing.

Actually, meatballs would be easier to eat from a dog bowl than steak...so maybe there's some logic behind the idea!

wa...you mean they cant use a fork??????

In my opinion, nutrition equates to health care. Any Dom that feels the submissive does not deserve the same care that he does is not a Dom....he's a jerk
