I been thinking. Why do people who ride horses not wear seat belts? And bike riders? Even pogo sticks- should have a strap on device.

Because depending on what you're doing, you are frequently standing up in your stirrups and a seat belt would prevent that. Watch the show jumping next Summer Olympics and you'll see what I mean. However handicapped riders doing therapeutic riding are frequently strapped in.

How you think of these things is way beyond me......maybe you need to get out more?

Saddles give a false sense of security - if you can't balance you can't balance, and you're just as likely to fall out of a saddle as off a bare back.
