Well Valentines Day will probably be very boring for me. It will either be consumed with homework or maybe hangin out with a vanilla friend, unless there is a miracle in the next 12 days for me.

My boy has been working very hard since start of year so we will celebrate Vals day by having a lovely relaxed meal to share and then hours of FUN. Not sure what the tone or theme of the evening will be yet but I am sure we will both enjoy it. x x

Hello tazzy -
I love love love Valentine's Day - it is the only holiday that I've found on my calendar that is about the relationships that people create instead of relationships people are subjected to (i.e. family). For that reason alone, I adore Valentine's Day! I love to give those little cards that are 30 in a box that you gave as a kid. They are great and always get a smile out of people. This year I couldn't find any generic ones - only Disney or Transformers or something. Who knows? Maybe I'll have ot make some this year!

What am I doing for Valentine's Day? I'm having a dinner party the weekend before with some of my favorite people - whom I love!

I'm a lucky gal to be surrounded by some amazingly lovely folks. Yay!

best,
sunshine

I plan on bring home some wine, chocolate and flowers. Then i'm going to make my naked slave kiss my feet while I drink the wine, eat the chocolate and enjoy the flowers.

that reminds me on a mothers day a friend of mine had last year, where her husband gave her exactly the chocolate which she can't stand, on top of that he was barely at home due to football, her toddler son told her how much he hates her and whatever else it was she encountered that day

I never celebrated Vday before because the men in my life didn't.  They all said it was just another day, and I figured if we loved each other every day, why set aside a special day?

Well let me tell ya!!

The man celebrates everything, even Valentine's Day, and it's a blast!  Last year was our first VDay together and it was so much fun to have another excuse to give each other presents, smooch, go out, and have fun.  Of course we love each other every day, and of course we're good to each other every day, but since we both love holidays and have fun celebrating them, we're taking advantage of this one, too.  It's more like, "Hey we're awesome to each other all the time, so let's use this particular day to really celebrate "us" and just have fun."

Last year we had his daughter that day and we all exchanged gifts and then he took us to the movies and dinner.  She went to her mom's the next day and we had a more intimate day together.

This year he'll be here the weekend prior (with the 90 minute distance during the week we don't always see a lot of each other on week nights right now), and we're going to a small cocktail party at some friend's. We probably won't see each other on the actual day of the 14th this year, because of work and our proximity.  But the weekend is gonna be one big love-fest!
