tazzygirl -> Valentine Day Plans (1/30/2011 11:37:38 PM)

So, its Jan 31... 236 am... and im curious.. and somewhat bored... and I have to work on Feb 14th, so does Master.

So, allow me to live vicariously through you...

What are you planning for that day?

hlen5 -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/30/2011 11:39:47 PM)

Valentines Day? Bah Humbug!

tazzygirl -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/30/2011 11:44:21 PM)

lol... guess that means I wont be living through you!

hlen5 -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/30/2011 11:45:35 PM)

Nope![:(]

tazzygirl -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/30/2011 11:56:18 PM)

Ya know, its not like you cant plan something for just yourself. If you love yourself, go out and get a pedicure, or a facial, or to that little restaurant you have been dying to try... not dinner, but lunch would be great [:D]

Who says someone else has to pamper us on that day.

hlen5 -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/30/2011 11:59:29 PM)

I was going for the laugh (mostly!). And you're right of course.

ETA: I'll be working, too.

RCdc -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 12:00:33 AM)

We do the same thing we do every day.
Love each other...

(Yeah, cheesy I know)[:D]

.....but... to be a party pooper. VDay is just like any other day for us. We don't need a special day to celebrate or do something.

(Yeah, yeah we know)[;)]

tazzygirl -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 12:03:47 AM)

No one needs a day to do those things. But many people like taking that day to do something extra or special. And thats what I am asking about.

Arpig -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 12:18:47 AM)

sweet fuck all...don't do Valentine's day...its a made up holiday to sell flowers & candy...not part of my world.

tazzygirl -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 12:20:12 AM)

I love to celebrate it by giving back rubs and little gifts. But I guess thats the romantic inside me. I dont go out, instead I usually cook a nice meal, foot and back rubs, maybe a little bit of chocolate... and a bit more. [:D]

Arpig -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 12:23:00 AM)

Go ahead and do so, but why not do those sorts of things everyday...why only on an arbitrary date chosen by greeting card sellers?

tazzygirl -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 12:25:10 AM)

IF i were buying cards and things that lined their pockets, I might be able to see your point. This was meant to be just a fun thread. Why is it some have to ruin it?

Arpig -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 12:27:17 AM)

 because I think that romance should be something done daily, its something that should infuse all aspects of a relationship everyday

tazzygirl -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 12:29:20 AM)

And you are believing that because I asked about what others are planning on that day that I, or them, dont infuse romance except on that day? Thats a short-sighted belief, if that is what you are thinking.

hlen5 -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 12:31:34 AM)

dang! Poor Tazzy, listening to us VDay Scrooges!![;)]

I once bought the Valentines M and Ms, separated the colors (red, pink and white), and layered them in a glass jar that I put ribbons on. If I were to tell you the result of that night, it would be another buzzkill!!

tazzygirl -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 12:35:21 AM)

LOL.. we all have had bad experiences on that "fateful" day.

You would think me insane to believe its highly romantic for Master, if he wakes up in the middle of the night, to make sure my feet are covered with blankets. Or, when he comes home, he has bought me a yummy cookie from down the street. Or even when he texts me at work to ask what I may need from the store.

These are things many people take for granted as part of their daily lives. To me, they are incredibly thoughtful and warm and caring acts.... something I lived many years without.

hlen5 -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 12:48:11 AM)

It's the little things that can make a difference, isn't it?

tazzygirl -> RE: Valentine Day Plans (1/31/2011 12:50:48 AM)

Yes, it is.. and they can. We often work so much, we rarely have time together before exhaustion hits and we have to start all over again. Even planning a night at the movies can require an "act of congress" so to speak. Our days off are rarely together. He works early, I work late.

So many take the little things for granted.
