[......"The future's bright! The future's Orange! ... and white, and some red ... and the odd flying limb ..."*

*odd factoid from a police forensics chap I know - after the London 7/7 bombings, one of the ways they were able to determine which bits of torso belonged to the bombers was that the bombers were all wearing at least 4 pairs of underpants. The logic runs that they wanted their meat & 2 veg to be as protected as possible for the journey to heaven, and all those virgins. I kid you not. Truth really is tranger than fiction.

Too bad they were too busy thinking about fucking in the afterlife to realize they were killng people right here and now.

You do wonder how they think they're going to pull with their limbs blown off and everything that isn't covered by their four pairs of pants reduced to petfood, really. You're not going to get any virgins looking like that, never mind 74...

Here.

Oh gawd. Another foil-numpty breaks cover.

"Witnesses of the tube-train explosions state that there were no Muslims with backpacks, and no backpacks, or bags, left unattended on the trains" ... that's odd, coz a number of witnesses at the recent inquiry gave just such evidence, in detail, the last few weeks.

The usual collection of half-baked bilge. By all means believe what you choose to ... just don't expect anyone with an ounce of sense to do the same.

I’ll leave you to your copy & paste idiocy.

That is interesting. Do you have a link with their names and their written out testimonies? Were they in the same caariages and could they prove they were on these carriages? Were they identified as passengers by other passengers?

I do not follow these things. I was glad that I could find at least one link for you, as such items tend to disappear from the web. It has been several years since I investigated the matter.

Do your own research. I'm not feeding your idiocy.

It's been all over the written news in the UK, so go to it.

It is not my interest at the moment. I was just replying to your request for elucidation. If you are satisfied that you have better information, then that is great as far as I am concerned.

Are you serious.

You just asked for information and in your next post say "It isnt in my interest at the moment" You dont seem to know what you want. If I wasnt so cynical I would suggest you dont want to do a search because all the info you need is freely available, and would leave you with egg on your face.

You know the conspiracy theorist types; never bother with actual facts when watching a non-government "crap-o-mercial" produced by a tinfoil-hat wearing clown is faster and less effort.

I'm reminded of Penn & Teller's take on conspiracy theorists and "truthers" (why on earth do they call them that when they're not interested in the truth?) ...

And, as he says, it's a fucking insult to the poor sods who died.

FR

Imagine if all newly bought pay as you go mobiles were sent random messages by law for the first month or so. Phones already get cut off if they are not used in so long, so it should be obvious what the patterns of the legitimate use are. We should have thought by now how modern technology is used by terrorists and means of reducing its misuse by making such misuse harder to plan. Mobile phones used as detonators has been the approach for so long it's about time that government had an answer to it. Stop fucking about with our lives in the name of preventing terrorism and disrupt their methods.

quote:

Islamist terrorists in Russia often use mobile phones as detonators. The bomber's handler, who is usually watching their charge, sends the bomber a text message in order to set off his or her explosive belt at the moment when it is thought they can inflict maximum casualties.

I'm sceptical that a suicide bomber needs a mobile detonator. Did the bomber knowingly build this facility in so that someone else would have the privilege of pressing the button or ensuring they went through with it? If we isolate ourselves from the hysteria we could even conceive that the bomb wasn't in the form of a 'belt' as reported and the bomber may not have known the contents of the package at all. I think people should stop assuming the 'bomber' is complicit in their actions until more facts are known.

Lucylastic -> RE: Spam text message blows up suicide bomber before she can complete her dastardly deed! (2/5/2011 11:26:25 AM)

we already know that not all suicide bombers are not always recruited out of love for their virgins....but forced into it. I think this might be the case, but purely a personal thought, because of the need to be activated by cell.
While I like the thought of being able to blow up a bomber by sending out random calls to "questionable " cell numbers...the "wrong time wrong place" issues becomes enormous.

tazzygirl -> RE: Spam text message blows up suicide bomber before she can complete her dastardly deed! (2/5/2011 11:28:34 AM)

Or, in all honesty, could she have set it off herself? If forced....

Lucylastic -> RE: Spam text message blows up suicide bomber before she can complete her dastardly deed! (2/5/2011 11:33:26 AM)

Im pretty sure we will never know Tazzy, its not outside the realms of possibility.
Speculation is more fun*altho in this case gruesome* than plain ol assumptions

chubbysubbyguy -> RE: Spam text message blows up suicide bomber before she can complete her dastardly deed! (2/5/2011 11:36:21 AM)

The cell phone detonator for a suicide bomber is just one of the many back-ups built into the system. It's there in case the bomber has second thoughts at the last minute or to ensure the bomb can be detonated if security forces kill the bomber before they can complete the mission.

Do you mean forced into it so that the surviving family members get paid? Are you talking about actual coercion? I'm not doubting you, but have not heard such before. The motivations of the perpetrator(s) are usually unimportant to me. If someone was actually forced, that would change my opinion.

chubbysubbyguy -> RE: Spam text message blows up suicide bomber before she can complete her dastardly deed! (2/5/2011 11:54:54 AM)

I've seen a case or two where actual force or coercion was used many years ago when I was in Iraq. We had an ice vendor who would come by everyday with huge blocks of ice for all of us, we would let him into our "base" where he would chip the ice and fill our coolers. One day he didn't show so while we were on patrol we passed by his home to check on him, door was kicked in, him, his, wife, and kids were gone. A few days later he showed up at the gate bruised up and wearing several pounds of explosives. Luckily for all involved the device was assembled wrong and failed to detonate.

hlen5 -> RE: Spam text message blows up suicide bomber before she can complete her dastardly deed! (2/5/2011 11:57:14 AM)

What happened to him and his family?

Lucylastic -> RE: Spam text message blows up suicide bomber before she can complete her dastardly deed! (2/5/2011 11:58:43 AM)

Absolutely Hlen
either gets paid, or gets to live, or restores honor, girls have been raped to shatter their honor and given a chance to redeem their souls
Its happened with most wars in the past century at least. there are quite a number of stories on google under forced suicide bombers

There was a scene much like that in "The Hurt Locker" ... people having explosives locked to them, I mean.

Irish terrorists used to hijack taxis, load them with home-made bombs, and force them to drive to checkpoints, during "The Troubles"* too.

*such an odd term for a conflict, that ... what was it before that? "The Tiffs"? "A Bit Of Pushing And Shoving"?

Moonhead -> RE: Spam text message blows up suicide bomber before she can complete her dastardly deed! (2/5/2011 12:28:17 PM)

The invasion of ireland by Cromwell was, I'm told, "the twattery"...

Cromwell has a lot to answer for
the TWAT

Seriously? I've never heard that before.

Or there's a clever joke there and I've missed it :)

It'd be smashing if it were true though.
