Me too. I think I'd have left for Outer Mongolia it had been me that dropped the clanger ... I'm just waiting for her to wake up, then the fun can begin :)

People like your friend are an absolute nightmare to mere humans, and, where I come from, in most restaurants, that would get someone banned.

I will certainly complain if there is something worthy of complaint.IE: I ordered well done steak, and, I got a burnt one, a rare one, or a plate of nachos, instead; if the table is filthy, etc. Otherwise, for less than adequate service (and, I do take into consideration if the person is disabled, overworked, being harassed by some imperious bastard who thinks they are God's gift to restaurants, etc.), I simply leave less of a tip. Since the government does tax them as if they got  a certain percentage of the price of the meal as a tip, they learn to act better or continue to punish themselves.

Not surprisingly, since I treat wait staff like human beings who deserve respect, ask rather than demand for things, excuse small, human errors that really don't affect my meal, praise the good, and tip generously when served well, I almost always receive excellent service with a personal touch, often have the wait staff and courtesy clerks serving me in some fashion when I run into them at some other place, and, seldom have meals with friends interrupted to speak with management - unless management has come by to say a personal hello to one of their favorite clientele.

SD gets a PASS, because I KNOW that he KNOWS I'm a chick...  (we've hugged, and he's seen me in my pajamas..while I was standing on a chair trying to silence a smoke dtector).. so he is just takin the piss...

I will let the rest go, because having just woken up, I am actually sleepy, but I have to go to work.  yay.

I know the RCdc kow that I am female also, due to up close huggles and snuggles.

To be fair, if you use a laptop, the avatar pics are ludicrously small. And some people (like me) don't look at someone's profile before replying.

It's usually me that gets this sort of thing wrong though, so I'm just going to laugh a bit and be smug :)

On later Microsoft browsers, CTRL+"+" (i.e. holding the CTRL key down and tapping the "plus" key) will zoom in, and CTRL+"-" will zoom out.

Comes in handy sometimes for making things easier to read.

I bet Moonhead wishes s/he* had known that earlier :)

RF - you may have noticed that the lady mentioned :-

If the pain ever gets too tedious, and the painkillers simply aren't helping, and life is looking a bit shitty, please feel free to pm me and ask to be told the story of GT and the smoke detector.

If it's really really bad (the pain) then as a special treat I can reveal ----- there are pictures!

Anyone else interested in this - sorry, money needs to change hands; serious money.

<sighs> Oh she tries all the time LP - it's got so I have to hire secuirty to watch out for the next fiendish attempt.

Moi? I am so considerate and kind and polite in all my references to her. Surely I deserve better, but no - relentless abuse is all I get from the monkey. <sighs again>

Indeed so.

I have a vision of her opening a window in her place, and letting loose those evil flying monkeys from The Simpsons :)

What've they got you on painkillers for, btw? Nothing permanent, I hope.

Yeah it's permanent (well, for life at any rate - if it changes after I'm dead that'll be a bonus) ... about 25 years ago I (through no fault of my own) ended up cutting a car almost in half using a motorcycle as a blunt instrument :)

So it's either take the painkillers, or not walk ... move ... sleep ... little things like that :)

I had my annual meds review the other day and they've changed my dosage and types, from single type to a sort of cocktail. So far the results are very encouraging, although there's always a period of "WTF?" while one's system gets used to the new lot. Hence the perpetual confusion ATM.

Ouch.
You'll probably feel a bit less groggy once you've got used to the new mixture.

I tend not to look at people's profiles unless they've stirred up some morbid curiosity, and it's hard to tell your gender from that picture: can't make out your face in that.
I beg your pardon.
