I think most progressives voted for Obama because they didn't want to continue along those lines and actually believed a junior Senator with no executive experience would change the world. If "progressives" love socialism then why did they abandon the "liberal" and "socialist" labels to become "progressives"? Oh thats right, because those people were all widely hated.

If he is doing this solely to try to win re-election and not because he's simply unable to deliver on his promises and because his experience has been as a Senator (compromiser/collaborator) and not as an executive (leader/decision maker) he is seriously misguided.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Obama. He hasn't done much to earn my vote, if I do vote for him it will be because I caved in and went for the "lesser of two evils" option, which is something I really don't want to do.
