my main thing would be to make sure likes and dislikes are at least semi similar if you are not into scat would you want a Master who is?

Mainly just discussing limits, if children are involved i would say talk about childrearing and how you differ or are similar

i just want to add, on the warrents thing......call any bail bondsmen & they will be happy to see if that person has any warrents out for them....for free, might i add.....

I suggest asking questions that most other people don't think of, so that youc an get a better 'look' at the person underneith what others see. I am known for asking Tops questions that most peopel wouldn't think about like:

*What colour are your sheets on your bed right now?
*Smooth, extra smooth, crunchy or extra crunchy peanut butter?
*How would your closest male and female friend describe you and tell me about you to convince me to go out with or have a relationship with you??
*Last 5 books you read, for fun?
*Last movie you saw in the theatre?
*If you were not in your current occupation, what you be doing instead?
*What would your pet (if you have one) tell me about you? What about your desk/office?

Those are a few examples, I have about 50 to 100 questions and I customize them for anyone that I send them too. I like to get to know people on a deeper level so I ask deeper questions and ones that actually require thought and are fun. Why ask the mundane and run of the mill questions, that just shows no originality or intelligence. {no offence}

This is frequently the deal killer question for us:

What are your goals?

I have no interest in someone that has no goals in life. And I don't accept "I want to be the best sub I can" line. To me, that's like saying "World Peace". Sounds great on paper, but if you have no inkling of a clue on how to get there, it's pretty damned useless.

I don't recall what trash TV show my girl and I where watching, but a girl under consideration offered that she wanted to promote world peace and serve humanity, and was stunned like a pole axed penguin when asked; "And what have you done in your life towards this end?"

You hit the nail on the head. When asked how they plan to do this, the typical response is "I'll obey".

Our view is that our dogs will obey. Doing what you're told is easy, it's doing the proactive unspoken stuff that's hard.

Have tobe careful to jump to conclusions with some of the answers a sub may give to some questions, like if your ever being arrested. Some may during their rebellious youth, others like myself may have gotten arrested at a or some protests...some never getting a conviction like myself who was only held for three hours and let go with a tresspassing ticket which later got dismissed. It was fun, but dissapointing. :p

Personally, I have more trouble asking a Domme questions than answering them, and I feel like it may give off the impression of not being serious enough and such.

I find speaking on the phone to be vastly more constructive than a sterile list. Even better is a discussion over coffee and croissants early on a crisp morning.
