Hello Mistress.

Whether I receive an E-mail via Collarme or to my personal Yahoo or Gmail account I always try to respond expeditiously as possible, this is simply something inside of me the way I was raised I guess?
A common courtesy if you will, E.G. when someone says hello you smile and say hello back to them, and I am always grateful, truly flattered and sincerely honored, whenever I receive a message from a Mistress with interest in me and once more I always try to respond asap.

However many people play online mind games when corresponding with potential lovers, slaves, Mistresses and Masters etc.
Men as well Women and teenagers I believe are guilty of this, and it may all go back to when we were in school and or dating, you remember, you did not call the girl/boy you just meet to soon not to appear desperate.
And when they called, you would say "tell him I'm not home" and or not return their call right away but would wait a few hours or even days to do so?

I've received replies from Collarme as well Gmail several weeks subsequent to sending a submission to a Mistress and I just wonder, if I please may pry?
How do you reply to a slave whom sends you a personal message, if you have interest, do you make them wait and sweat for a bit or respond very soon.
And if you've no desire what-so-ever to meet them do to completely ignore them or send a polite message saying thank you but no thanks, and what are your opinions and experiences with the many mind games people play online?

Because so much of our mail is truly junk mail [pun on cockshots intended], many of us don't/can't reply to every msg from men that don't meet our minimum requirements. The analogy used is do you write back to Thai restaurants that send you cheap copies of their menu, even though you've told them you can't stand Thai food? No. Would you reply to a single sheet of paper with a return address and the word 'hi'? No.
Would you reply to a thoughtful message from someone who appears to compatible? Probably, if it weren't buried in a pile of Thai menus. [edited to add: Thai menus, death threats and cockshots].

I'm in firm agreement with Tantriqu. At this point, there really isn't a situation where someone on CM would get My interest. This has everything to do with not having the time to add anybody else to My life right now. I was telling someone last evening that I need to rework My profile because it needs to be changed to "friends only".

My profile is still effective in the area of stating that I only am interested in being contacted by people from the forums or those who are local to Me. When neither of those conditions are met and someone sends Me mail, I send a message stating again that this is My preference. At that point, I block the sender and report the message for spam. I have no more interest in receiving those messages than you do getting messages in the real world that ask you if you want to change your long distance carrier or switch insurance companies.

You aren't familiar with what type and volume of email comes into a Dominant woman's inbox. Actually, scratch that, it's pretty much ALL women regardless of orientation. You are saying that you were brought up to politely reply to a polite inquiry....good for you. I mean that. Do you owe the same polite response to an impolite inquiry? Or junk mail? Do you reply to the catalogs that infest your mailbox....Hello, thank you for coming to my mailbox but I am not interested in toy trains at this moment. No, you toss them away because they were randomly mailed to you in the hopes that you'd be interested in the product and you dont' happen to be interested. Tons of email is randomly mailed out to female profiles with no selection being done other than gender. You are also not aware of the nasty responses many of the women here get when they reply with a "No thanks" so when a woman does that she is taking a chance that she'll be retaliated upon.

I do tend to answer my emails with a no thanks even when I get slammed for that with a nastygram in response. I'm not here to play games. That's just my individual approach to things and everyone else is certainly entitled to theirs. I also do not have the volume to keep up with since my profile is relatively low key with no pics.

If she wants to reply to you, she will most likely do so in a timely manner. If she doesn't, then she won't. I doubt she will wait for weeks. You can also see when she was last online so it will give you a hint. If she hasn't responded within a week I'd assume she wasn't going to respond. (unless she hasn't been online)

I tend to have CM open in a browser window in the back and forget to log out on occasion, though not sure if that is always an indication because I guess I am not the only one who does that...

But I think you can see if a mail was read, if she read it and hasn't responded within a few days, chances are she isn't interested.

There are certainly some messages that I don't bother replying to ... they just don't merit it. 'Hello' is a good one ... I mean, if they've no brains to go further than that, I don't want to know!

However, any polite and reasonable message (ie shows he has read My profile!) will get as prompt as possible reply from Me ... because I AM actively looking (unlike LPs situation), and because I was brought up to do that too! And no, I don't play silly mind games like letting someone sweat and wait for a reply ... I view that as childish. Much rather wait till he is with Me and then I can play mind fucks ... much more fun!

as a collared male slave i only get a few junk mails sent to me so most just get a laugh and a delete. some are responded to as they are not junk and are asking a question. i respond to those as soon as i log on to cm.

I have sent out many messages to female subs. When I do, I keep several things in mind:

1. They may not be interested. I expressed interest in them, bit that doesn't mean the interest will be reciprocal.
2. They get lots of mails. Mine may very well be lost in the noise.
3. I sign onto collarme regularly. Not everyone does.

They are under no obligation to reply, and I'm pleasantly surprised when they do.

Life is too short to worry about such things fabian.

if you happen to have the energy to answer each one, do so, if not then simply move on to another. No one dies from not having their mails replied to. If they seem interesting, answer, if not, then don't.

Hold on a second. Wasn't it just about a month ago, OP, that you posed a question about what it was about your profile that might lead someone to think that you were gay? When you were receiving those emails for situations that you were interested in, did you reply to those?

The simple answer to me is, if someone is single, and she receives an email, that indicates he's read her profile, even a little, and addresses her simply (or as she specifically asks to be addressed), the courteous response time, is within 48hours. I usually try to respond within the same day; if someone approaches respectfully, I usually reply with please read my profile again, and tell me more about you (if you're profile is bare).

What doesn't get immediate response, or (on occasion) deleted unread for me are: emails that come as a direct compiled list of how he fantasizes a D/s or an M/s relationship should run; what things must be done to him, in order to enforce his submission; the ones with specific "do you do this questions" minus the hello; or finally, a reasonably written note that looks nice, but shows he has not read my profile at all, and our lives would never mesh.
In these cases, not getting a reply within 24 hours, usually means, I'm trying to find a nice way to tell you "go jerkoff, but please don't involve me in this." M

Hello LadyPact and thank you for your reply, as I read many of the replies to this thread I receive thee inclination that many misundersood my intentions for creating it, which I completely take the blame for as I could have been more clear?

I.E. it was not an indictment of anyone, nor was I complaing or upset due to not receiving a response from a prior message that I sent, niether was i seeking advise.
I was simply curious as to how people differ in how they reply to Collarme mail and mail in general from slaves.

And as I stated, usually try to reply soon as possible, if only to say thank you for the interst, I.E. when I'm truly short on time and must run, unless, they are gay dominant or submissive men hitting upon me, then I never reply.
And once more I was not complaining nor criticizing anyone, for I truly should the last one to throw stones.
