Most of the people who write the creepy, thoughtless, spammy one-liners are men. Most women who write me are thoughtful and intelligent and are communicating in a clear and articulate manner for a good reason, after having read my profile. That's a simple fact, but that doesn't mean I disdain all male correspondence. I do disdain the shallow and the stupid and refuse to speak to them, but it's not because of their gender. It's because they're shallow and stupid.
