Too many, as seen by some of the drama queens on the forums, immediately envision the worst case scenario of 'because I said so' or 'it's my way or the highway'.

When I see the drama queens post their drama over those phrases I wonder to myself......."Are you really THAT BAD at choosing your significant other/s that you immediately assume the worst???"

If an s type cannot do a good job in choosing a person to submit to, perhaps they need to think twice about entering a power exchange relationship in the first place. Rather than trying to diminish the dominant partner's power after the fact.

Greetings LaT,

I really loved your remarks. You were spot on and I've wondered the same whenever I read the never-ending threads regarding the big bad dominant and his mistreated/misunderstood submissive. It generally takes a few posts (err pages) to unearth the confession that mister meanie has always behaved the same but it's no longer a turn on. [:D]

Namaste,

If the yoga and pilates on Wednesday didn't scare an onlooker, the Zumba class I attempted on Thursday would have to. Unless collapsing on the floor in helpless laughter does it for ya.

If you love to eat........the farm will be the place to be this summer. Of course dinner today won't be too horrible either.

What a wonderful post to read first thing on a Sunday morning. That's awesome

Thank you Kyra. The three of you, and the dynamic you share, is often what I think of when I read what I've described. I think of your family as one of the most positive examples on Collarme of how and why it works. Obviously there are many things that have gone into 'making it work' but on here I see too much debate on the bad what if's and not enough about how to create mature adult relationships that negate the scary what ifs. In the posts of all three of you, I see examples of how to make the concerns much less of an issue and the relationship a sucess.

It is my pleasure and thank you. I don't post much anymore because life now has other priorities, but I pop in every now and then and we are always willing to provide our perspective on our life whether in public or private

i have to agree with LaTigresse -- the three of you have been a group that i've secretly admired all the way back when i first joined under my previous name. =p it is nice to see a functional positive example, in contrast with all the negative stuff.
