Rush Limbaugh has a pretty good take on this aspect of the Egyptian crisis and how the child president and his staff are in total disarray regarding the response to it

Well, Hillary Clinton said we should, "reach out" to them. So you KNOW that can't be a good ending.
Boy, she's absolutely manic about this Egypt thing! "They're good, they're bad, he's a dictator, he's not a dictator, we should intervene, we shouldn't intervene, we want an orderly transition...."
Instead of acting like the Secy of State she sounds like a junior high school hall monitor. "Tuck in your shirt!" "No running!"
Now jumpin Joe Biden said Mubarak is *not* a dictator but the BBC said he's worth $50 Billion! Where did he get that money from?
Man, what a bunch of amateurs in this administration!

Still echoing what you felch from Limbaugh.

I read your article from the Jerusalem Post and much like Faux Entertainment Nuze the detail of the body did not match the raging hysterical headline.

So, tell me what responsibility does the memory of Reagan play in this since he funded and armed this Nazi Islamic Terror and created al Queda from it?

Isn't this the epitome of unintended consequences by republicans?

tweakabelle -> RE: What is the Muslim Brotherhood (2/10/2011 7:25:54 AM)

hmmm ... a cute image is, I suppose, a bit of an advance on a link to a book as far as supporting evidence goes.

Compelling evidence? We're still waiting ... but wait ... here it comes ......RUSH LIMBAUGH says so - I'm soooo persuaded!

how could anyone doubt such an informed source?

mnottertail -> RE: What is the Muslim Brotherhood (2/10/2011 7:27:53 AM)

Well, I thought Barry looked more like Sanity than Obama, but..........

You believe that the radical Islamic revolution will stop in Egypt, Iran, Tunisia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, the Philippines, Iraq, Algeria, Libya, Yeman, Somalia and Jordan then? It seems to be the case that the radicals are constantly agitating in the name of  Allah. According to the Obama administration, radical Islamic elements are even recruiting here in the U.S., and weve seen that it only takes a few.

Remember, nineteen killed over three thousand.

So which of those nineteen were recruited in the 'States, then?

mnottertail -> RE: What is the Muslim Brotherhood (2/10/2011 7:38:45 AM)

Or in any of those other countries you quoted, because 15 were saudi.

pahunkboy -> RE: What is the Muslim Brotherhood (2/10/2011 7:45:14 AM)

The missionary couple from our church is finally home safely.   There has been alot of prayer and commentary about this.  However I missed those services.    My neighbor says she can get the CD.   I am most curious.   The couple describes in detail everything they experienced prior to being able to come home.

The few things- ...well the burning of the police station- and muni buildings in Alexandria we knew about a week before I seen it on the net.  Losing the water supply- I had not seen reported.

Egypt has some significance somehow to the end times- says my neighbor- she thinks is imminent- yet- she is still doing her 1040 taxes...if Revelations is here- then why bother?

IMO  we are good for a few years...  not imminent.    She responds that- it will come when not expected.

DarkSteven -> RE: What is the Muslim Brotherhood (2/10/2011 7:45:59 AM)

Actually, I thiunk that Obama's handled this very well, except for the fact that Intelligence never prepared a plan for when an uprising happened. He has made most of the moves behind the scenes and not cast his lot with any party.  He's urged Mubarak to make some reforms.  He's clearly stated that he's intending to keep relations with Egypt no matter who's in charge.

His problem is that if he wholeheartedly sides with the protesters, the other Arab nations will start holding back their oil, and if he sides with Mubarak, Egypt will shut down relations when the government changes.

It's a tricky situation and he's handling it well.

Not to mention that the alternative of invading hasn't worked out well in the immediate past.

Maybe you should stop listening exclusively to idiots like Limbaugh and broaden your horizons.

But you don't really want that, do you?

You much prefer to listen to whatever reinforces what you want to believe.

Well, it's probably a waste of time, because I doubt you will read them, but here you go:

Oh yeah, "HARVARD" and "YALE" must be so proud!
Just because it's an "old school" doesn't mean it's a "good school."
Sounds like they need to add a new course; "S.T.F.U. 101."
Why does "Washington" feel the need to have to comment on everything? It's like noone ever taught them to keep their mouths shut!
"What do you think about Egypt Mr. President?"
"I have no comment, I'm not the president of Egypt I'm the president of the United States."

Usually I ignore you, dont even read your posts, and heres a classic example of why. Though I made it the centerpiece of my OP you remain ignorant of the book Jihad is the Way and all the other evidence cited in contemporary news broadcasts and articles as well as other discussions. In other words, I just dont have the time to try to argue with fools.

There is no evidence that the MB is leading or even a significant part of what is happening in Egypt. I already showed that the leading figure behind the demonstrations is a secular Egyptian who works for a very American company.

Maybe you should start listening to what Obama says we should do re Egypt vs what his Press Secretary Gibbs says.

But you don't want to do that, do you?

Because they condradict each other.

mnottertail -> RE: What is the Muslim Brotherhood (2/10/2011 8:09:05 AM)

Uh, heads up for this one.

One is President, one is a press secretary, and if they have some miscommunication or even wholehearted disagreement my bets lie with the former guy.

FitExpDomwPic -> RE: What is the Muslim Brotherhood (2/10/2011 8:24:58 AM)

When Khameni, the radical Islamist leader in Iran called Tahrir Square protests part of a broader Islamic revolution, the MB was quick to respond:

"The Muslim Brotherhood regards the revolution as the Egyptian people's revolution, not an Islamic revolution," it said in a statement. "The Egyptian people's revolution includes Muslims, Christians and [is] from all sects and political" tendencies.
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-khamenei-iran-egypt-20110205,0,3601046.story?track=rss

Also;
“Egyptians are capable of solving their problem without intrusion, meddling and prying from foreign groups such as Al Qaeda and similar groups advocating the use of violence,” he said.
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/11/world/middleeast/11egypt.html?pagewanted=3&_r=1

If the Muslim Brotherhood wanted an Islamic revolution in Egypt, this is the very moment they would be trying to whip the crowds into a religious frenzy and promoting Jihad. They are doing no such thing, and are bending over backwards to remind their followers and the rest of the country that this revolution is about justice, liberty and freedom from dictatorial rule.

That's something that all Americans should support, not be afraid of.

There is no possible way to please this RML-  he does not like PP, or really anything that I link to.

Put him back on ignore.

popeye, you will never find a moment of clarity. Between sharing felching duties with our mr potatohead and howie carr, you are not going to advance to any greater understanding of, or reconciliation with the world than those glabrous turnips.

If I recall rightly the Muslim Brotherhood denounced 9/11. In any group of this nature you will get extremist views and moderate views. From recent news reports from Egypt the MB doesnt have a large following as yet, percentage wise.

I seem to remember there was a link to the brotherhood in the 1993 bombing of the trade center...could be wrong...But if so this makes your statement ironic don't you think?

Well Ronald, according to Yahoo News about 6 minutes ago Mubarak is "on his way out", "Army takes over."
So I guess that negates anything Mssrs Obama, and Biden and vacuous Hillary have said about Egypt so far.
And these people are supposed to be "experts?"
I wonder if they "knew" that Mubarak had been stealing the lion's share of that "foreign aid" money? Surely they "knew" that he is "worth"
$50-$70 Billion U.S. Dollars as that has been in the Press.
And if they "knew" about Mubarak stealing all that money from us and did nor said nothing what does that make them? I don't know about "felching" but those three stooges may want to take up "Rolfing."
Yes, "Clarity" is a good thing don't you agree?
