Lilly your greek style salad sounds great, I LOVE capers, like love love love them! One of my favorites meals is grilled swordfish with capers and lemon. TFB, another tasty way to dress up salads is to use just a drizzle of really good extra virgin olive oil with some balsamic vinegar to taste, a big squeeze of fresh lemon and lots of fresh pepper. That is what I almost always use on my greens, its great. Also, instead of a lower nutrient lettuce, I mix it up and use a lot of baby spinach, or a mix with things like arugula, endive, radicchio, red cabbage, all kinds of things. Don't get stuck in a rut of lettuce only. Also, your Doctor sounds rather off on her advice. Have you ever seen that show "Ruby"? She was what, 500 pounds? I really liked her spirit and her dedication. Google it and see if you can find some episodes, but anyway, her doctors all told her to exercise. My man lost almost 80 pounds by walking, changing his diet drastically (he got diagnosed with diabetes) and also joining the gym. He has kept it off and feels 20 years younger. He's 60, if he can do it after a lifetime of poor choices you can. Trust me, you do not want diabetes, I can not stress that enough to you, it's truly horrible. Stick with it and the people that don't support you, including your Daddy, tell them to kiss your ass and keep on doing what's working. I'm dead serious. This is your life you are talking about, know your worth.
