ORIGINAL: ThatDamnedPanda "Tough choices" my ass. Whatever slim chance this gutless bastard had of getting my vote in 2012 just exploded in flames, and I swear to god there is absolutely zero chance I will vote for him again. He is completely ignoring every single one of the bold and insightful recommendations of the bipartisan budget commission he personally appointed last year, because he doesn't have the balls to do the right thing if he thinks it will piss people off. I'm finally ashamed to admit I voted for this empty suit. I am going to disagree with you Panda. I plan to vote for President Obama, AGAIN, unless the other candidate impresses ME, as a BETTER CHOICE. Maybe, President Obama is having a hard time making very tough choices, because many Americans including President Obama, find it hard to swallow "tough choices". We are not going through a "phase" and the new America, is going to be very different than the old America, and many people will be lowering their standard of living. Many of the smarter people are going to realize, that they have to change their expectations, and even their entire view of "what matters most in life". Getting down to basics is going to be a lot more than just lip service for many people. The President is going to HAVE to work with Congress and they will work out an agreement. More interesting is going to be how joe public deals with what is certainly coming our way. I think you are being harsh when it comes to President Obama, and that is fine. President Obama wears big boy panties, and I think he will be just fine. IF a better candidate comes along, hell I will vote for him. But looking over the Presidents we have had the last 30 years?????? lol, I will be voting for my Prezzie Obama. President Obama has a hard time cutting many government programs and services, at at time that many NEED these services the most. That makes him a caring person, with a good heart. {in my book} After all the cuts are made, I hope that Congress goes ahead and just creates an area for a really large tent city. Maybe we can allocate a state where all the poor, needy, desperate, and disenfranchised can go live in. Why not give them New Jersey? Do we have any empty Indian reservations? I still say, we are no where near the bottom, and many people {including President Obama}, find it hard to wrap their heads around and can't deal with the reality that will be coming our way. Many people don't like admitting, that what is coming may not be pretty. Peace
