In my opinion you're well advised to educate yourself if its going to be a routine occurence. Also, networking with more experienced practitioners won't hurt. I befriended a toiled enthusiast years ago and he taught me more than I could ever utilize and then some. Sometimes having firsthand feedback is golden. Good luck.

by the way is a good point to start, this document is fine and detailed on the "phases" of the training and on the steps we need to accomplish. You can follow it strictly or use it as a simple guideline (which ultimately is exactly what this slave was looking for). Is a matter on how much and how fast the Goddess wants to wipe the slave own "sense of self". She can freely change the deepness of the training, is up to her.
