Junior Senator Obama would be more correct, especially since he didnt serve one term as Senator.

I have seen some pretty stupid arguments float across my screen in my years on CM. But this has to top them all. He quit because he was elected president. I would hope most 18 yr olds would be able to figure that one out. So what's your excuse?

Im not *making it* about skin color, it was about skin color to the Dims all along.

Had Obama served a few terms as a Senator he would have gained valuable, useful experience, but experience wasnt a factor to them. Ties to known terrorists wasnt a factor - the only thing that matteresd was that he was black.

Think about the mistake the Dims made for a minute. They had enough votes to override any filibuster right after the elections and so with actual leadership and a little bit of legislative experience at the top any other Liberal president could have easily had comprehensive universal health care passed, with all the bells and whistles. They had the votes, they could have done anything. But what did we get? Obamacare, a sandcastle washing away with the tide. Thousands of pages of law nobody likes which confused and divided everyone and left a large percentage of Dems deeply troubled with who they had selected.

And the root cause was that the Dims chose Obama based on the color of his skin rather than the content of his character.

Michelle Obama put every proud American down soon after her husband became the Democratic nominee when she said "For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country". Oh? Really? The country which gave her, her husband and all African-Americans more opportunity to better themselves than any other country in the world?

Not quite. I for one voted for President Obama because I felt and still feel he was and is the best man for the job. Your party trotted out an ancient warhawk with mental issues and probably the fucking stupidest, most useless, ignorant, egotistical self serving self centered cunt to run with him, that he didn't even have the mental capacity to properly vet before shoving her ass onstage to  throw red meat re:god, guns and fags to whip the lowest common denominator neocon cavemen into a frenzy. Oh that and most of the teabaggers spend their time jerking off to her rather than actually listening to the shriek owl. Probably the wiser of the two choices.

Firstly, African-Americans are Americans and come ONLY from America, why would any other country give them opportunities. In The UK for instance, black people are called, if not black, then Afro-Caribbeans, and in the UK black people are not offended if you say they are black, any more than I would be offended if you call me white.

Secondly, what has the US done for black people? Self-righteous Americans should remember that it is only just over 100 years since slavery was abolished, and within this lifetime (for some of us) that they were given the vote and that segregation was abolished. I don't wonder that black people have chips on their shoulder, they have a right to.

President Obama however, whom I supported and still think was the best choice, given the alternatives, has been a big disappointment to me. Sort of like a black Jimmy Carter, wonderful yet totally ineffective.
