Now I know this sounds evil but I wish they had a Federal Penitentiary smack in the Middle of N.Y.C., one that had none of his Islamic Brothers in to protect him...
They could toss his nasty ass in & just see how long it'd take the Inmates there to do what that lily livered jury couldn't!!!

OK He's a nutter but he didn't actually kill anyone and him knowing about 9/11 is merely conjecture without any solid proof from what I can see. He certainly doesn't have as much blood on his hands as Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al. Oh Blair too.

He's been tried and he was never going to be found innocent and he saw to that himself. He's got a death fetish like the rest. Keeping him alive seems more of a punishment.

I think Charles Manson was at the scene of the crime wasn't he and not locked up in jail? Maybe I'm wrong, too long ago to remember. But if everyone is guilty by association, there are millions of guilty people out there walking around.

We've been through the Loose Change video.

i'm against the death penalty in all cases. it's letting him off easy, imho. life in prison is more cost-effective, safe (in other cases in which the prisoner might later be found innocent), AND more difficult...i mean, to be honest with you, i'd much rather have someone stick a needle in my arm than spend even a year or two in prison.

He was set up as the fall guy. So, good for him. Actually, they should have let him go. He hasn't hurt anybody nor tried to do so, as far as I know. If we want to put everybody who thinks of breaking the law and the rules of decency into prison, we need a thought-police and most of all houses and buildings to use as prisons. 1984, here we come. Big Brother is watching us.

Hey he's the one that says he wants to "Kill" Americans,

So what? It is your considered opinion that you should be put in jail if you say "Kill Rule"? It is unpleasant and I think not decent if somebody says "Kill Rule", but it makes more sense to send him to a shrink or to an authority figure than to jail.

You may convict somebody for a crime committed, but it makes no sense to convict somebody for a crime not committed.

My opinion is that the only reason he wasn't in one of those jets is because the Asshole couldn't fly worth a shit!!!
Given the chance Americans or some innocents would die at his hands...

Oké, that is your opinion. That is all right. Most people have opinions. Even Moussaoui has opinions. Should he be put in jail for having opinions? Should you? Should most people?

The fact of the matter is that this poor fall guy, who was going about his business without having hurt anyone and without having committed any crime that I know of, nor having an airplane ticket, was arrested and put into jail and has now been convicted for a crime that he did not commit.

If that had happened to anyone else, he would surely say that life sucks and that there ain't no justice.

Your opinion is incorrect.  He wasn't in one of those jets because he was taken into custody a couple of weeks before 9/11 due to immigration violations.

He's got a martyr complex, so it's not so shocking... just read some of the trial transcripts as they were made available to the press...

That aside, whether he was there for every single discussion about the 9-11 attacks or was just given info on a need-to-know basis, he still knew something about what was going to happen, which would have led to more restrictions at the airport in terms of security and could have prevented the whole tragedy... his is not 'guilt by association' but instead 'accessory before and after the fact'... that is what he was really on trial for, from what I could figure out of the whole circus we called his trial...

And life in prison is NOT cheaper than execution... the bleeding hearts who thought it was cruel took away our cheap methods, like firing squads and hanging.  Bullets and rope aren't exactly in short supply in this country...

in general, you're right. it's not the actual execution that's the most expensive, it's the time on death row leading up to it. i'm not sure if they would have given moussaoui that, though.

meatcleaver - good point.

Can't believe some of those that take the stand well he didn't actually do anything, Christ he was up to his Eyeballs in it...
Hell if they coulda put him in a Federal Prison in N.Y.C. in the General Pop. there'd be no long term costs of  keepin' him nor any lenghty appeals process!!!

I doubt it.

He'll almost certainly spend the entirety of his term in administrative segregation for his own safety.  They're not likely to release him to the general population, no matter how many people would like to see that happen.

Actually he's going to a Super Max Prison where he'll only be out of his cell for 1 hour a day...
I know they'd never put in General Pop. but it was a "Sweet Fantasy" LOL

Have they decided where he's going yet?  I heard the French were considering petitioning that he serve his time in a French prison under some convict transfer convention.

I've heard that too. The French are pretty hot on looking after their citizens. I couldn't see a death sentence happening without a big diplomatic row.
