I don't understand you. The French always surrender and convince themselves it's a victory. Except at York Town when they won the colonists their independence.

He hasn't tried to hurt anybody???  You don't believe his whole flight-training episode had anything to do with learning how to fly a plane into a building, right?

Not many are greener and leftier than I am, but I'm not going to pretend that this guy was Mother Theresa.

Yes he's going out to the Midwest I believe it's Iowa or Idaho...
It was also on the news about The French possibly petitioning to have him transferred there... Some relatives of the Victims of 9 - 11 are definately against that!!!

I applaud the jury for doing what they did. Too many people balk about having to go in for jury duty, its NOT an easy thing to do, I speak form expereince. He has to live with his arrogance and hatrid, personally, I am all fore putting in general popluation, give him 15 min. Tax payers will save a LOT of money.

Now I know this sounds evil but I wish they had a Federal Penitentiary smack in the Middle of N.Y.C., one that had none of his Islamic Brothers in to protect him...
They could toss his nasty ass in & just see how long it'd take the Inmates there to do what that lily livered jury couldn't!!!

Lilly livered jury? The best reason NOT to put this man to death is that it prevents him from becoming a martyr for Bin Laden and the Muslim Extremists

You are right. Our system of justice is famous for putting people behind bars that have not committed any crime. I mean really, we convict people all the time for nothing. Millions of innocent people sit languishing in our prisons... just ask them if they are innocent... they will tell you.

Hmm If you are poor, young, black and uneducated you execute them for being just that down south or are all those campaigns by woolly liberals just plain wrong?

Yes we should let him go; very publicly, with plenty of advance notice, somewhere in lower Manhattan. Just give me enough time to catch a flight so I can join the throng patting him on the back. Just need to warn him; some of us may be "patting" a bit hard; some may even have something sharp or hard in our hand that in the rush to touch him we may forget to take out.

Resigned and satisfied that he will not be a martyr.

Thanks. I am glad that you agree with me, Gauge.  Isn't it horrendous how many convicted people that have been for years in prisons are proven to be innocent using new DNA-evidence? It was only just last year in my own small country that someone who had been convicted for the rape and murder of a child and had spent five years in prison, was proven to be innocent. I also recall - I hope correctly - that French case in which several children falsely testified that they had been abused and 18 innocent people spent years in prison, one committing suicide, until it was finally proven that it had all been a lie.

ummm, I'll kill him, no need to even pay a firing squad I'll be happy to do out of my own pocket. But it won't cost much, just do it like they do it to our people. Knife right across throat. I don't even care if he was part of 9/11 he says he wants to kill us and he's serious. Ummmmm, ok, I guess we should wait until he does. To funny.

Umm... You know... Oh hell. Why bother? I would enter into a debate with you but I am not inclined to argue with someone that cannot even attempt to discuss logic.

I was thinking the same thing, although I guess I'd do it a little different. Does anyone know how many Black Cat firecrackers it would take to kill somone.....if you only light them one at a time....and only in areas that would be non-lethal (well, at least until all the non-lethal areas were gone)?

The idea that he didn't do anything is rediculous. I had the unfortunate ability to meet this man while he was attempting to get a job driving gasoline tankers (8000 gallon rolling bombs). He was wanting to gain access to the airport while paying for flight lessons for large aircraft.
This is a little reported detail that has had a deep impact on my life. To believe that he's an innocent is the most preposterous bleeding heart bucket of bunk I've ever heard. He's an accessory and not after the fact, his intention was to harm people and 2 minutes in his presence was enough to have the giant building sized red flag waving nut job. I'm heartbroken to hear that he will live his life out in Colorado but understand the greater importance of him not becoming a martyr.
I hate that once again he's in my back yard with the side effect of upsetting the balance of my world with the constant training and warnings of terrorist attacks. I personally would fight this man being extradited to any other country that might not keep him caged like the animal he is till my dying breath. The only thing that gives me any comfort is knowing that in the supermax he sees no views, little to no daylight, no other humans and 4 tall cold walls to stare at every day.
While I disagree with the outcome as personally I would have rather seen the world rid of the tim mc veys, unibombers and other rabid souls of the world I take comfort in knowing that my tax dollars are FINALLY going to something I agree with...keeping this rabid animal in a cage.

There are ways upon ways of making this man's life an utter hell for as long as it continues, even behind bars in solitary lock down...

I think many people around the world have seen documentaries made by Americans about innocent young southern blacks that have been convicted of murder or someother heinous crime where the evidence appears to be no more than the prejudice and incompetence of the local law officiers.

'Woolly liberal' = 'confused liberal'  since I assume these documentaries are made by liberals embarrassed by their country's legal system and are wanting to get a retrial for their cause. I've seen such documentries on TV in many countries in Europe, Japan and South Africa.

The fact is, that it won't take much to convince the Arab world that Moussaui is just another victim because of the wide spread acceptence outside America, that if you have colour and are poor and live in the south, you don't get a fair trial in the USA.

The very fact that the Bush administration tried to get the trial held in the south, is evidence enough that there was no fair trial for Moussaui from the beginning.

I think he got what he deserved, I'm just being devils advocate as to how I know many people in the world see it.

When Britain was suffering from Irish terrorism there was a saying in Britain about the miscarriages of justice here "innocent until proven Irish'. There is a feeling outside the US of 'Innocent until proven Arab.' because of the anti-Arab sentiment in the US.
