One would almost think that he quite likes having the entertainer label to hide behind whenever somebody tries to hold him accountable for any of the shite he spouts, but doesn't see any incongruity with doing that while expecting to be taken seriously in his role as an unelected spokesman for the GOP at the same time.

Exactly. Many "leaders" among the GOP are groveling to this man. How can anyone with any intelligence see him as a mere "entertainer"? He commands a power that many within Congress would love to possess. And, Im sure, if his programs didnt pay him 50 million a year, he would be running for office.

Personally, I find him offensive and a rather sad joke. His drug use alone makes my skin crawl... He is better behind his "entertainment" gig. IF he ever ran for office.... lol... it would only be to ensure someone else won.
