I've seen a number of sites post that the USA is like 25th in world education. Given the degree and depth that we have all observed of posters of the conservative philosophy on such topics as economics, politics, religion, and even science. Has anyone ever heard of a study in which kids were tested on how well they do in school (exams, achievements, etc), when their parent's (or parent, if single parent household) political belief/outlook is a key component? Since on these boards, I've observed a large number of conservative folks display an utter lack of knowledge on how to make a proper arguement. The disuse of sourcing one's arguement. In many cases, calling people names (either the person they are responding to or of the topic nature). Failure to even distinquish between a 'blog', 'journalistic quality writing' and 'conspiracy theory'. And simply displaying a lack of knowledge on a given subject matter. I would wonder if children, whom are exposed to a mentality that is limited to the 6th grade in maturity and knowledge, does or does not have an affect on a child? That the child hears and sees the adult behaving like a child and assumes they, themselves can behave in the same manner. Dont know of any study like this at current. In ways, it would be tough to collect data in a fair and objective manner. Not to mention the study's purpose is borderline unethical. Still would be curious to find out what effects we would see in today's young people, when exposed to both conservative and liberal philosophies in their parents. It has been studied that parents that take an active interest in their child's schooling, shows increased scores and more likelyhood of academical achievement. Does a parent's political outlook also have an affect on a child's schooling?
