Yes, yes it does.

This is pretty much the only way Alpha and I play. I can count on one hand the number of times he's used some kind of implement on me. Generally it's slapping, hair pulling, kicking, punching, pinching, scratching, and any other way he can use his body to hurt me. It's very primal, and I find that the physical connection between us during this kind of play leads to a closer connection outside of playtime. The few times he has used a flogger or something on me, the distance between us imposed by the tool disconcerted me. I'm used to having his hands on me, so the lack of them was almost frightening. I have also found, at least in our case, that pain administered by human hands is much more intense.

I think you should sell this thought to the O/p crowd so they can be even cooler and more true than they currently are. Wasn't there something floating around these boards about "ultra submission" or somesuch a while ago? Maybe this goes hand in hand with that?

What I do know is that I'm not cool enough to be ultra-anything except maybe "ultra in love"

To me, that's a self-deception statement. Carol is either consenting or she is not. The "feel" of it is fantasy stuff. More to the point, that whole "consent" concept is so riddled with holes that I've abandoned it anyway.
