Status: offline 		The reports that he is arming civilians in the capitol are telling, Hill. Even with imported mercenaries, he cannot secure his own city. I don't think it's a question of whether he would want to use the most horrific means at his disposal (whatever that might be), but whether he'll get the chance.

Status: offline 		It might just be me, but I think it is disgusting that just about everything is used for vile left/right sniping. People are being butchered because they are fighting for freedom, and you lot are trying to score some cheap points.
This is not the first thread about the revolutions that you are doing it on, it starts to grow old. And that goes for a whole bunch of you on both sides of the fence.
Discussion is one thing, but that is not what you are doing.

Hopefully, the signs are being read correctly, and he really is on his last leg. I shudder to think about the pain and suffering he might inflict upon the protesters before he goes down.

People are being butchered because of policies that were instituted by the Bush administration.

So let's all now just hold hands and pretend that never happened and pray for peace.

Bush did not get him to get rid of all his stockpile. It is estimated that he still has 9.5 tons of mustard gas and other chemical weapons.

Neither Bush nor Obama (I am a democrat) tried to convince Qaddafi to move toward democracy.

Of course, this is not the first time the United States has supported an oppressive regime.

But it is the first time we supported an oppressive regime after a blatant terrorist attack on our own citizens sponsored by that oppressive regime.

Both are well known basic facts

It was the right thing to do, as was getting Gaddaffi to turn over terrorists, pay compensation, and surrenduer his WMDs.
