Not in my opinion. I happen to think that some people, here and everywhere, take themselves way to seriously. Could be sexual frustation, lol.
So, have any kids?

No,but they were good with berniase sauce.

And frustration, whatever do you mean dear? As in,so stuffed full of it that they can't bend enough for ANYONE to ever be good enough?

Now why would THAT happen?

I don't think it's bad at all if you say that you are seeking some fun with someone you can tie up or do whatever to...  As long as you say these are my cards on the table, and let the chips fall where they may.

I respect men or women who say "I think you're hot, and am intrigued by the prospect of doing yah, but am unavailable for anything more than that."   It won't get him anywhere nowadays with me given that I have toys I can relate to in an unemotional fashion, but I would still respect the honesty.   I had a lovely long term (2-3year) relationship with a man who was that straight forward some years ago.   M

Well sure, just say what you mean...........why lead anyone on?

If you want more, you can always ask-some of the greatest relationships I have seen were just started by two folks having a fling.

No pressure, they just by golly LIKED each other.

Baked, broiled, roasted, fried. . . a little lemon butter is all you really need.

Why would that happen?  Well. . . here is a suggestion. . . go to your local video store . . . wander down the aisles and start counting how many "Cinderella" stories there are.  Next. . . go to your local magazine store. . . start counting how many magazines offer dating and hooking up advise and the number of bridal magazines.  One more trip. . . to your local book store. . . go to the relationship and self-help sections and start reading and counting titles.

The point. . . there is a societal postscription on being single.  Especially if you are a female.  Individuals get it into their head that they are somehow less if they are not in a relationship.  Silly, but that is the way it is.

As far as for ANYONE not being good enough. . . most of that is a reflection of their own romantic idealism combined with a society that preaches instant gratification.

Yes, a serious answer to a tongue in cheek question. . . now when do I get that tongue in MY cheek?

Best,

LaMalinche

Coming here to have fun is cool. I work 2nd shift getting on this site after midnight is a great way to unwind and relax for me. Speaking of love making music I am listening to Robin Trower now. It is dark and mysterious music with many upbeat tempo changes . Very relaxing music.

Very good!

I DO ken the entire brainwashing routine. I try to get away from it as much as possible, freedom rocks. And is the white picket fence, and 2.5 screaming yard monkies REALLY what the entire world is supposed to be doing? One might think so.

I like a lot of people.but the people I like best, don't carry around a box to put over my head.

That hasn't been my experience at all, lived or observed.   I think everyone should be bold enough to live honestly, and have fun whenever they feel like it, as long as no one's emotions are being sacrificed/disrespected in the process...
However, we are not without societal influences, and double standards which call women dirty whores if they enjoy sex/relationships on their terms, and men hot desirable stud muffins for doing the same...  The men who sleep around are among the most puritanical judgemental bastards I've seen/heard, but it could just be my experience.       M

Why bother doing something if you can't find something fun do to with it at the same time?  Otherwise, it's just drudgery and the time will never pass for you....

I definitely agree that some people take themselves way too seriously.  If we're not having fun, what's the point?

It's not so bad at all as long as everyone is honest. We all have different needs and kudos to those who know exactly what they want.

I agree about society brainwashing women...making them question their value if they are single. I can remember one of my Sons   ( not 'screaming yard monkey"   nor "umentionable" )  female  friends...saying...."your moms still single???"   like it was a disease or a disorder.  I think  "everyone is supposed to be doing"  whatever is right for them personally.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being on this site or any other venue  just for fun, as long as one is honest with  whomever they intereact with about what it is they are seeking...or not seeking.    After being basically single for 9 years, dating casually etc....only in the last couple of years have i started to seek a relationship that i would consider for the "long term".

For the record...i have the highest respect for people who consciously  and responsibly choose not to procreate....

I still would like a little "happily ever after" though, not in the "Cinderella, i need prince charming to take me away from all this"  way.
