And just because....

It's all NZ's fault I work a few modeling gigs a year now. Thanks to a photo shoot we did when I was visiting him, my local photographers saw his work and jumped on me. Since that first photo shoot, and doing a few down here my rigger has gained the attention of Osada Steve, and has gone to Japan three times to work with the Kinbaku Masters there. My photographers work with me and my rigger was placed this year in the DirtyShow in Detroit, one of the largest international erotic art exhibits in this country.

So, thanks NZ. Couldn't have done it with out you.

Glad to hear things are going well. Dirty is one of the shows that tons of my more favorite people from the OH/MI area end up going to and/or being featured in (that and DEAC).

Eh, I think that this community in general is overly accepting of obesity. Probably because, at least it seems, that there is a higher percentage of obesity among the folks in the community than in the general population. (although that number is getting pretty high too.)
i am curious as to where you are getting this information..

Probably from observation.

There is a rather high amount of obesity around these parts, but anyone who thinks it's an extreme amount has never been to Mississippi or Alabama.

Ahhhhhhhhh, the smell of a fresh fallen rain coming through my windows AND a thread about fat chicks turns hateful.......all we need is to mention fat TG folks and whiny male subs, and we got us a trifecta.

Aint life grand?

Throw in socially awkward women who own cats and you'd alienated 95% of the population here.

Sunnyfey -> RE: Thats it. I'm done with 21 year olds. (2/28/2011 5:18:19 PM)

The thread isn't about "fat chicks". It's supposed to be about that douchebag I should have never given a second chance to.

And to those people saying my fellow model should "put her big girl panties on". It's not like we are modeling jcpenny's spring line or something. This was a fetish photo shoot, specifically suspension bondage. As you all well know fetishism in itself, and especially the scenes and activities we do can garner an emotional response from people seemingly out of the blue sometimes. Also, I like to breed/establish(? maybe not the right phrase) a sense of self love and harmony in my photo shoots. I want my fellow models to be happy and feel sexy and full of self confidence. And when someone actively destroys that ambiance in a rant about hating particular body types, it can be a real ego/emotion/self worth killer to the models participating in the shoot. And sometimes, it may not happen right then, it could be weeks later when a girl remembers what was said and has a difficult emotional reaction to it.

So, think about it. Basically we are having scenes during these photo shoots, the models or bottoms can be especially vulnerable during these things.

You know, that's kind of inspired me. I feel like starting a thread that compresses every one of this site's favourite hatreds into just one question. Heh. A bit like when the editor of some gutter-sensationalist newspaper ( I think it was the UK's *The Sun*) was asked, 'What would be your ideal headline?' and his response was 'Queen's Sex-Change - Archbishop in Mercy Mission to Palace'.

I would say there is a general lack of give a damn about your nails on my part.

Mine are not nice..I painted yesterday. I am a 'hands in' painter. I believe I also saw a strand or two of yellow mixed in with the reddish hairs on my head.

I have feelings you know... =(

so what, who cares? certainly not the fatties you've offended.

I want to be clear to you Sunny, that my post was not blaming you, but offering a perspective as to how I think it might have been handled differently.

30% in the general population are obese. Thats a BMI of 30 or greater.

BMI Categories:

•Underweight = <18.5
•Normal weight = 18.5–24.9
•Overweight = 25–29.9
•Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

My question... when did we associate BBW with obese?

One criticism of plus-size models: They're about a size 12. While that isn't tiny, it's smaller than the average American size, which is a size 14.

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=123604722

The term is a subjective, visually-determined concept that does not have an explicit lower or upper weight limitation, and may denote women who may be considered barely overweight to those who are morbidly obese.

Again, who defined BBW?

Well, I cant be held accountable for my reactions when you are an inconsiderate asshole.

I'm not sure what the initial point of this thread was, other than allowing you to rant.
While your invited guest may have been insensitive in the company of a handful of people,
you are announcing to a much larger audience your disdain for 21 year olds.
So now everyone that is heavierthantheywanttobe and youngerthantheywishtheywere
are equally feeling hurt and rejected. Way to go!

If you read the post AND the comments, you'll noticed I amended my title and stated not all 21 year olds are like that.

Hill, at least when scotch drinkers get to be our age, we handle spirited beverages better than most 21 year old persons. But please, make mine a bloody mary or a malibu bay breeze. yummmm

My only contribution is to point out how useless those BMI's are. I'm a 35, so I should be dead, or at the very least unable to see my dick.

BMI's are a useless relic.

The ones that need to be emaciated to make a living.

Meh. It's not really applicable. Fashion modeling caters to a specific body type that may or may not involve much body-shaping depending on the individual.

Perhaps you meant that they "need to seem emaciated" which, while still a bit off in assessment of body structure, at least is just a representation of which body type you personally aesthetically prefer.

That and skinny-chick bashing is chic these days (as a countermeasure against fat-chick bashing), so that tenor can subtly seep into current social preferences for the 'ideal' female figure.

TheRaptorJesus -> RE: Thats it. I'm done with 21 year olds. (2/28/2011 11:11:57 PM)

Well, the only fashion model I know who makes a living doing so was always tall and slender, but seems much more gaunt now.

The body fat percentage of most of those models is below a healthy level so I think the emaciated tag would fit. Throw in the prevalence of eating disorders, I'll stick to my guns.

While skinny-chick bashing may be "chic" it's still less prevalent than an athletic girl with a developed lower body musculature who is far from fat being called so by people. I just wish the male body would get as much scrutiny as the female one. Unless one looks like an Adonis, it seems reasonable he shouldn't be casting stones at people within a healthy range.
