But how many are here without a care for self respect?
Or is there a silent majority who hope for something with more lasting substance?

Sorry friend. I had no intention of opening a can of worms. Neither do i judge anyone. I only have to look in the mirror to find something imperfect. But i suppose it just saddens me that wherever you go there is so much exploitation. Even in a place where people are just trying to be honest about themselves.

One man's exploitation may be another man's only way to get off discreetly. There are profiles demanding pay and "Pro dommes" out the wazoo on here, but where there's a chance to make easy cash, there will be an overabundance of people trying to do so.

Become more acquainted with the hide button and keep going. Half of those profiles most likely are about as real as this one.

I realize this is at least somewhat of a frivolous cavil here, but I would point out that there are a great many ProDommes looking to get INTO a piggy's wazoo, as well.

Thanks for your honest reply. Though i can assure you i didn't beat anybody over the head to make friends with me.
My introduction to this lifestyle didn't come without a price.  So it's a case of 'been there, done that, bought the tee-shirt'.
Perhaps i was just naive enough to believe people still did things purely because they wanted to?

Ha, I'm not throwing all of them under the bus. One of my best friends from the website is a pro domme. It's a service that needs to be filled.

The demographic that annoys me are the "online-only" camwhores that want to make quick money through IMs. I almost considered getting a couple of my attractive vanilla friends to join the site and help them make some cash and take a small cut.

Raptor Pimp, they'd call me... and I'd be the talk of the town.

Of course. There are those who are in it as lifestyle instead of pro. But complaining about the pros won't change that - it's just whining. Focus on the ones you want and ignore the rest - they're shooting for a different audience than you, just like you're shooting for a different audience than them.

Perhaps i'm so used to Vanilla sites that i'm a little out of my depth?
I'm accustomed to posting a lot. but this is a very different world to what i'm used to.
Much more it seems has to be given. Yet much more is also at stake.
Still i'm hoping that honesty will win through in the end?

There's tons of Pro Domme complaints over in Ask a Mistress. There might be some useful information there for you in those threads.

Executive summary:
1. Hide the profiles you're not interested in
2. Tailor your profile to attract what you seek
3. Write compelling first emails

Well.. It does appear that i've ruffled a few feathers. Not really my intention. But certain things are just inevitable.
I paid an individual, not an event. I was also perfectly happy to do so.
I suppose all i'm asking is why there are not more individuals into a 'life', rather than a lucrative opportunity?
I'm guessing the most 'ruffled' will be the latter rather than the former?
The important thing here is to realise i'm voicing my opinion, not a fact. I'm also leaving myself wide open to correction.
It wasn't my intention to be deliberately antagonistic. But if causing a little stir will evoke an informative response.. So be it!
