ORIGINAL: FukinTroll Have to put my money on Winsome... she has absolutely been sound, stable and reasonable since I have been here (we won't even get into the whole slurpable gorgeous parts of it). That said, before this get's into a religious debate... take Winsome's words to heart and leave the religion on the P&R boards. [sm=adminwatch.gif] Whole point of this thread was about how to preserve oneself for that special someone. Few, if anyone, has taken this serious point seriously. What can I tell you FukinTroll, I'm fascinating. She does seem attractive. quote:
ORIGINAL: WinsomeDefiance Luke 18:9-14 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about[a] himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." It is God who exalts me. I also pointed out earlier that God is omnipotent. quote:
A deity is able to do absolutely anything, even the logically impossible ... St. Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theologica. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omnipotence quote:
ORIGINAL: 0ldhen 2) I follow the Beast Godddess, being but one aspect of the Mother, she is older than your god or his son. 3) I perceive Christ to have been a gentle human, I also perceive Buddha and Gandi in the same light. I am a witch and as such I am familiar with the Old Ways. How is this possible? An omnipotent God can do amazing things. Your views on Christ are not unexpected. The identity of Christ and the message of Christ are inseparable. If you grasp the message of Christ, you will grasp His identity. Much of Christendom has taken the opposite view: Only by recognizing His identity will you recognize His message. It has been largely overlooked that these assertions are equivalent. What this means is you do not have to begin the journey believing in Him. If you don't like Christians, I personally wouldn't condemn you for it.
