No Rich, it just means that a news network up here can't just make shit up and broadcast it as "News". They have to actually have some sort of evidence of its veracity. We have no problem with right wing philosophy or viewpoint, nor would we with a news organization with a right-wing slant (two of our major newspaper chains are decidedly right-wing), but we do draw the line at lies and fabrication. We don't need anybody in power to tell us what is true...we just have this odd idea that the facts should back up what a journalist publishes. Time and events may prove those facts to have been erroneous, but that is the nature of the world...but when first presented, the story was backed up by the facts as they were known at the time. Seems simple really, I cannot understand why many in the US has such a hard time grasping the concept.
