FR Actually the premise is not all that dumb. The presentation was a lacking, but the tales of armaggedon, if taken figuratively............ I've read Revelations a couple of times, although I don't retain it all because I do so selectively. How they seem to have described the beast holds in certain aspects. All powerful, as world government looms. It doesn't seem to be in name, but by complex treaties and agreements, international courts which claim worldwide jurisdiction, maybe it's not so far off. Suffering is obvious. And not that I've really comtemplated suicide lately or anythng, it could be difficult for some. "Men shall seek death but not find it". There was a time you could just drive into a bridge abutment and end it all, but now with airbags and crumple zones, you are more likely to spend the rest of your corporeal life as a vegetable. Getting a gun is not as easy as it used to be. At one time you could stick a piece of metal in an electric socket and grab a faucet to cash in, but not they have ground fault interrupters, and on top of that alot of plumbing is plastic, so you don't even have a good ground. There is more but I can't recall it all. The paralells are there, in a metaphoric sense at least. A beast rising from the sea - naval vessels with powerful ship to shore weapons. A beast from the sky - Air Force bombers. Famine - we're getting there if people don't stop overpopulating the planet, not to mention obscene opulence in the face of those who are starving. The mistake in the OP was to name a certain political party. They all do the same thing, and they don't do it for free. International financiers gaining wealth as the good hard working people who created prosperity are tossed aside like those to be sifted. What's more these conditions are creating a dog eat dog environment, to the point that you just about can't trust anyone. The OP would've made alot more sense if not for the political reference. T^T
