Nine Inch Nails, to me, is quintessential, especially "Closer", "Head like a Hole", and "Big Man with a Gun."

It really depends on what's taking place. I appreciate music with a dark edge and would throw on something that would unleash the primal much quicker than I'd play a love song. I have a special affinity for grunting.
