My snake needs an Easter meal too, you know.

So whaddya say, Lazzy-boy?  Get it?  Like a Lazy Boy?  Hahaha...ah...

lazarus1983 -> RE: cats and bathroom doors (3/9/2011 7:33:53 PM)

No, I have no desire to see my cat get eaten.

NocturnalStalker -> RE: cats and bathroom doors (3/9/2011 7:37:42 PM)

But did you get the Lazzy-boy thing?  Did that not entertain you?

I had a siamese cat (Zaphod Kurotamanai)who used to sit on my chest as i swam out to a raft in the river...no claws or anything, and used to like being cuddled in the shower.

Best cat I ever had..he was born on my chest and lived with me for 22 years...he was also a real individual..I have a ton of odd cat stories about him. Even people who hated cats loved old Zaph.

God I miss him

FR:

I'm mildly clostrophopic and never close the bathroom door. I have a thing about doors being closed all the way, unless it's an entrance door. But I digress..... my cat is obsessed with jumping up on my lap when I am sitting on the toilet. She jumps up and licks the daylights out of my thighs while I'm using the toilet. Any and all attempts to break her of this habit have failed miserably..... so I simply endure it. They are such amazingly odd creatures. I can't ever imagine not having one or more in my life.

KB is the only one that is really the door cat.....he HATES any closed door!  And he's got the upper body strength to literally make the door rattle on it's hinges when he grabs the bottom and shakes it.....sounds like a SWAT team taking it off!

It took him all over 2 weeks to figure out how to open the hotel door when I first moved to AZ.  It had the lever type door knobs.  If it wasn't for the fact that the doors were heavy fire doors, he'd have been outside in a heartbeat!  And since he figured that he pulled down on the knob, then all knobs work the same way, so he's been trying the round doorknob here.  If he had thumbs, he'd be free.  There isn't a cabinet or cupboard in this place that he hasn't opened and checked out.  And then there's the fridge....fortunately, he doesn't mess with the one too often.

When they are in, they want out, when they are out, they want in......it's a never ending cycle designed to drive us nuts!

CherryNeko -> RE: cats and bathroom doors (3/9/2011 9:50:50 PM)

OH, I KNOW! It's ALWAYS the SAME!

GreedyTop -> RE: cats and bathroom doors (3/9/2011 10:25:51 PM)

Cashew tries to open the front door.

I dnt even close the bathroom door anymore (or ANY interior door except the spare/storage room..I go in so rarely, the cats mostly ignore it)

SweetDommes -> RE: cats and bathroom doors (3/9/2011 10:36:06 PM)

Two of our cats actually fit under most of the interior doors. However, we don't close the bathroom door unless we have guests, because the DOGS will try to break down the door (they have actually succeeded in bending one of the hinges on the office door). I figure it's safer to just leave the door open so that the dogs can make sure we haven't drowned ourselves in the toilet ...

What is it with cats...what do they have against closed bathroom doors??

i thought it was doors in general.

My cat used to come in and watch me. Sometimes he would jump on my tummy, which was sticking out of the water, and then just sit there.

That was before i started giving him baths.

In addition to being sociopaths, cats are also sexual deviants.

Who would've thought?

GreedyTop -> RE: cats and bathroom doors (3/9/2011 11:35:32 PM)

The cats that own me are asexual.. so no deviancy (unless you count spay/neuter as deviant)

Jennislut -> RE: cats and bathroom doors (3/10/2011 12:44:18 AM)

isnt castration considered a sexual kink

0ldhen -> RE: cats and bathroom doors (3/10/2011 6:06:31 AM)

You know, out of my three I have one who just cannot abide a closed door. He will meow, give the leg swirlys, stretch up and bat at the door handle, anything to get you to open that door.

I think he just does not like not being able to see what is on the other side.

From my sig line -"Cat Quotes":
"Most cats, when they are Out want to be In, and vice versa, and often simultaneously. ~Louis J. Camuti"

Zelda prefers spending the day in my son's room. When I get home there's a loud thump and scratch at the door. She eats, uses the litter box, then back to his room.
YinYang must be in the bathroom when I am. But the again, he's following me most of the day anyway.
