The only thing I can think of is the risk of something going terribly wrong and a scene turning into an accidental snuff film. That would weigh very heavily on the mind and while I can't speak for Dommes I would be weary to be involved in such a thing.

Conversely I discovered something called waterboarding which is like mock drowning. A torturous technique used to simulate drowning. Won't go into details here but...

I can take a large amount of abuse but I do not think I would last very long in that instance.

It is scary hot.

So I fantasize about it in the figurative sense. I definitely could take a life. Or hurt someone so seriously that they wouldn't have a life. I enjoy looking into that abyss and controlling it. I have the power to not take that last step. It's very freeing.

What if you knew your top/dominant had the capability to kill you. Knew that this person had thought it through.....would enjoy taking your life......had a place chosen for the kill.....knew how to dispose of your body....was prepared to take responsibility and accept the consequences?

Would it satisfy your fantasy to play with this person wondering if you would live?

Actually, Mr. Pyro, waterboarding an other suffocation-induction techniques can be resisted indefinetly, but the toll on the neurophysiological area is impressive, due to the oxygen depletion over a long time period of enduring such torture.

My consideration is that the Original Poster of the Topic considers hot to know that his life may be in danger, but isn´t. Sort of like bungee jumping and such things. Controlled risks and stoppage at a line, but as close to it as possible without crossing it. It is obviously a power-based fetish and it is also understandable.

It's a fun fantasy. I enjoy engaging in it on a roleplay basis, but it's all verbal and threatened rather than actually carried out. One of my partners who enjoys this in particular is a type 1 diabetic with a very creative imagination, so I simply don't engage in risky or even very heavy SM activities with him. Breaking skin isn't a great idea on a diabetic, so generally I don't even do that much. The creative threats are quite sufficient to compel his eager obedience. Lots of fun, and totally safe.

And for both of us, but him especially, it's an indication of how completely mine he is, how much he would offer me if it's what I wanted. (Do I think he'd lay still if he *really* thought I was going to kill him? Probably not. But the mindset remains.)

Seems as if Mistress Miyani has used a form of suggestion, semi-hypnotic suggestion by tactile sensation overloads to trick the sub into such belief.

It is documented in our country how to actually create such stimulation as to convince a detainee of such things, similar to the concept of "mock drowning" or "suffocation simulation" as Waterboarding, but it normally takes, when done in such settings, some sleep deprivation and mental anguish to allow the mind to bend the perception standards and therefore create such illusions, it is also part of our SERE training during our mandatory military service year.
