It wasn't quite what you deserved, as yours was minimal. Maybe you'll at least get a small taste of what you did to your girlfriend over this experience. It is My sincere hope that your ex-girlfriend finds someone who is more dedicated to her than you were.

OP, you didn't get played because you never had a chance to begin with. She thought she was meeting a friend, not a possible love interest. And friends are happy when their friends find possible love. This was an entirely imaginary relationship on your part. She would be shocked and horrified if you told her you had thrown over your gf for her. Be grateful she doesn't know because now you can continue to be office friends and not have any difficulties working together.
