RANT WARNING!! I help out my ex a lot. With my son's surgeries and related health issues I am there a lot while she takes him to the ER (or I take him), She works a couple of weekends a month..and I stay at here place to watch the kids and make the meals and stuff. I am at her place right now to watch the older two while she and the youngest go visiting the grandparents. I am here so often that I am on a first name basis with the guy at her local depanneur. I don't mind helping her out...she works hard and has 3 kids to raise...and she does it well. What I do mind is that whenever I get here...every fucking dish in the place is dirty! Piled everywhere!! I have to wash things just to cook. She has a fucking dish washer for fucks sake! There...now I feel mildly better. Guess I'll go load the dishwasher now...FUCK!

slides you a candy bar Ever though about hitting her with a fire hose... bet the dishes would get clean out of circumstance.

I understand. That can be annoying. I think pet peeves are just something that goes along with being a family. Which you are, whether you're in a romantic relationship with the ex or not. I'm glad to see you stepping up to the plate. Pa-rum-pum-pum.

Bring paper plates next time? I know it would drive me nuts as well. I'm the type that will start washing dishes even before dinner is served. My goal is to be able to enjoy as much of the after-dinner time as possible, and yet not be faced with dishes come morning. Perhaps with all she has on her plate, (no pun intended) dishes don't even register on her priority scale. Maybe you can help even further by teaching the older children how to load the dishwasher. [:)]

Do the dish-washing, Arpig - and whistle while you are doing it: it is more fun that way. Perchance make a game out of it with the children. Be of good humor.

Doing dishes - cooking the meals - and in another thread he said hed do laundry. i think arpig would make a good male sub - what do you think ladies?

LOL You wouldn't say that if you saw my ceiling fan! The thing is filthy...every time I see it I think "I should clean that...I'll do it as soon as I finish <insert whatever it is I am doing>"...and forget all about it till the next time I glance up.[:D]
