If a thread is older than three months, please start a new thread on the topic. If you find a great thread, you can link back to it in the new thread. This thread will now be locked. Thank you I saw a few posts recently locked down with this statement from the admin... what gives? So we are encouraged to use the "search" feature, but when we find something that we feel the urge to respond to we should not if the post is over 3 months old? If someone shows an interest in our post that is 3 months old, they should stat a new post and link it to our fabulous post rather than respond to it? to me this seems a bit harsh, and for what purpose? to create more and more posts? to jam up the servers? to make it seem like there are thousands of topics being discussed? I just don't get it, im not trying to stir the pot, I just don't see why an admin should care about the start date of a topic and actually lock it up because its old. Why would you feel the need to respond to something that is already over? If the topic is important to you, start again... a lot of those older posts can answer questions for many, however, sometimes those questions are not answered by ancient history and need fresh perspective on how it relates to the new OP. YMMV
