Yeah, Clinton told the Australian PM he was lucky not to be burdened by "that... second amendment".

Dims.

Actually I'm not concerned with how "Presidential" a leader seems...that's just window dressing. I prefer honesty actually, and if a leader makes a comment that his job would be easier if something were different, well it makes no difference to me. I don't understand the requirement of most Americans (and the French as well) that the President be some sort of superior being...hes a man with the hardest and generally most thankless job on earth, I'd be disappointed if he didn't feel like bitching about it now and then. I like my world leaders to be visibly human.

What he really meant was he wishes he could be a dictator and not have to deal with the negative rights Constitution.

Oh...wait.

Anything like this guy?

A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it.

The White House isn't denying the President DIDN'T ever said any such thing, EITHER. Why are you apparently trying to?

I asked you to do something reasonable. I will conclude that you are unable to accomplish the feat, given the nature of your lame attempt at humor in your post.

The Bush joke before it was ripped out of context:

quote:

'Dictatorship would be easier,' Bush jokes of his struggles

Friday, July 27, 2001

By SONYA ROSS

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

WASHINGTON -- President Bush conceded yesterday he's had his struggles with Congress and is bound to have more, joking that "a dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier." Still, he said the relationship is a healthy one after his first six months in office.

Bush received a parade of lawmakers at the White House to talk about the prospects for proposals on patients' rights and federal funding for religious charities. He then made a point of going to Capitol Hill for a brief personal session with House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., who also is trying to get Congress to move on giving Bush expanded trade negotiating authority.

"Dealing with Congress is a matter of give and take," Bush said before his trip down Pennsylvania Avenue. "The president doesn't get everything he wants, the Congress doesn't get everything they want. But we're finding good common ground."

"A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it," he said. Bush said his first six months have been as constructive, if not more so, than those of his most recent predecessors. He noted that his tax cut is now law, as is a $1.9 billion boost in defense spending he signed Tuesday in Kosovo.

Quite. The chimp always had a harmless and inclusive sense of humours. It isn't like he made gags to the press about the retarded woman he executed as governor of Texas, or mocked blind and crippled hacks at white house press calls, is it?

Keep saying utter crap and bullshit, Heretic; you have YET to show EVIDENCE and FACT, that President Obama did EXACTLY as you stated. Last I checked, if someone states the President stated something not normal, its up to that person to come up with the burden of proof. So why are you stalling in providing the burden of proof, like I originally asked?

Let me help give you an example of an ELECTED OFFICAL stating something not just incorrect, but completely insane. And there are people that want to elect this person to the Oval Office.

So, stop with the lame attempt(s) to evade the original request.

What Heretic actually stated was...

According to the New York Times, President Obama thinks it would be so much easier to be the President of China.

With me so far? Now let's see if that's true. What did the New York Times actually say?

Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China.

Well shucky damn. Clearly the New York Times did say that! Clearly, therefore, Heretic was correct in saying that the New York Times said that. And equally clearly, the only crap and bullshit here is yours.

Thank you for your time.

K.

Yeah, I told him that, Kirata, and gave him the opportunity to challenge the NYT as a reliable source. He'd rather stamp his foot, do some incoherent shouting, and deny, deny, deny.

Just out of curiousity, how does the New York Times know what the President is thinking? They got a telepathy on staff or something?

Because if he stated something like this, it would often be around other news reporters....some of them with these devices called 'video cameras' that catch every word. Can you show the President stated this from other news groups (i.e. independentally verified)? Since Heretic and even yourself, hold as much a bias against the President as W.B.U.D and RJ. I just dont believe it, because a quote can be verified; were as believing someone's words based on concepts is to easy to maniupulate for political reaons.

If you think your correct, just show this concept from three seperate and independent news agencies, and I'll change my impression on the issue.

Let me show the whole thing from the article in question, as it seems to hard for yet, ANOTHER idiot to understand the concept....

quote:

How Mr. Obama manages to do that while also balancing American interests is a question that officials acknowledge will plague this historic president for months to come. Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China. As one official put it, “No one is scrutinizing Hu Jintao’s words in Tahrir Square.”

Please, show me the quote from 'The Horse's Mouth', Kirata (aka The President of the United States of America). Since I did a search on goggle for "Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China" part. The hits that I got not only are conservative bias in their nature, but all link to the New York Times article in question (meaning, the NYT has a telepath on the payroll).

1) FOX News
2) Mr. Caps ("Exposing the tyranny of the Democrat Party and other rants")
3) Prison Planet
4) Conservative Byte .com
5) Blogging Stories .com

Now, four of the five are blogs that have 0% journalistic quality per paragraph of text. The fifth, has 0% journalistic quality per thirty nanoseconds of air time. But I like #2 (which I never heard of) the best. Nothing says your 'unbiased' like Mr. Caps! Heck, I even tried to find a source on youtube.com, and didn't find a single hit.

Now, for the THIRD time, please submit the request (now, from three seperate unbias news agencies).

About the typical grade of argument from this one, Kirata. You should have seen him splutter, then vanish from the conversation, when I pointed out how Teddy Kennedy's partisan games in '04 resulted in the election that cost Obama the filibuster-proof Senate majority.

Obviously some serious cognitive disonance in play, huh?

Still waiting for the original request, Heretic. You can comply with such a simply request, right? I would hate to think your not able to comply due to the facts being against you. Since if they were in your favor, you would have simply answered my request already (and been happy to gloat about it too I might add).

Keep ducking, dodging, parrying, evading, side-stepping, and hiding. You are only stating each time you post, that you don't have an actual, honest, and factual quote from the President.
