Ms Hathor,

I too have to say, well said.

I believe that the problem with most men online, and particularly most "submissive" men, is that they do their thinking with the wrong head, which of course leads to one handed typing and all the B.S. that entails.

Except for the word "Mistress" which I took only as a personal experience reference I honestly do not see this topic as being gender specific in any way. I have read similar points of view from both genders, just worded differently.

You said something that has needed to be said for a long time.... another thing I do not understand is why slaves will tell you this is My hard limit... lol...

Um... no actually.  It has *nothing* to do with stereotypes.  What she's talking about is based on *experience* ...being continually beseeched by hordes of submissive men whining "Please, Mistress..."  You should put up a Fem Domme profile sometime, just for the experience.  Maybe you'd have a little more sympathy and understanding why we need to let off steam now and again. Hell, you'd be joining us!!!

Oh yes, femdoms have a brutal existence, what with all the whining submissive men slobbering on them.

And submissive/slave women have such a very hard time with the hundreds of daily emails from lecherous dominants pursuing them.  And sub males have a one if twenty three thousand five hundred and eleven chance of meeting someone interested and interesting.   And if you are heterosexual and monogomous, you are just fucked.  And so on and so on. And every damn one of them (except the objectification kinksters) wants to be recognized as a person or some such nonsense.

Waaah waaaah waaaah.

Well stated MH - The number of sincere individuals, not only ready, but ABLE, to accept the responsibilities of a FULL relationship is very low from my own experiences. Unfortunately so many people want a relationship and all they think about is THEIR wants and what that other person will do for them and give to them whether in a D/s context or any other.

i strongly recommend to anyone seeking a relationship, no matter what the structure, that you set kink and sex aside  and ask yourself what you have to offer another. What do you want to contribute to another and how do you go about doing that. Put the stereotypes and fantasies aside, W/we are all fragile and vulnerable. When loving is more important than being loved, when giving is your focus, not getting, then start your search for your Dom/me or sub/slave.

MH,
I dont know what to say, other than, you are inside my head reading my mind. Of course you have stated it so much better than I could have. I have certainly had my share of demanding submissives. Thank you for this post, I think that it is something that needed to be said. Good job.

Perhaps, some are.  But there are those of us who aren't and who want a mutually satisfying relationship...and those of us who get just that.

Its all been said ... but I think it will always be this way.... I just joined the boar d(waves, hello!) and already I have an email box full of lovely messages on how lucky I would be to be able to do whatever someone wants me to do to them ....and one or two from who I feel are genuinely lovely people who want to get to find out if my kind of Dom matches their kind of sub.

Makes it so difficult for the sincere ones that there are so many people only out there for themselves. ((shrug)) but whose to define sincere?
