How about that Scott Walker chap? he might be looking for a new job come 2012...

mnottertail -> RE: Wanna play GOP 2012? (3/15/2011 7:38:11 AM)

Gonna be a problem with Walker, we don't want to have to take a formal vote for the president every year, we vote by electors every 4, not his style.

Don't know where you're getting that Koolaid.

"Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -22. That is the president’s lowest rating since September"

Also, btw: "Republicans currently enjoy a nine-point advantage on the Generic Congressional Ballot."

true enough, but the conditions under which that attack occurred were drastically different from those of today

They definitely were.

We have a President in office who doesn't have his head up his ass allowing the worst terrorist attack in the country's history and then claiming credit because it didn't happen again.

From real polls conducted in a manner consistent with established norms of polling

This thread will now languish until after the Rush Limbaugh program, where they will be given instruction in how to ignore reality.

I didn't even have to click on the link to know that was Rasmussen.

He really cracks me up with his nonsense about indexes.

What other polling firm uses that?

Let's try this:

The less popular Obama is, the crazier the Republican will be. I've been saying for quite a while that yes, if Obama screws up badly enough, Palin could beat him.

You also said that Palin was going to put McCain over the top.

And no, I'm not going to let you forget that.

By the way, you do know that Obama's numbers have remained remarkably stable and consistent with the percentage that voted for him.

39% approve of his leadership. thats stable?

mnottertail -> RE: Wanna play GOP 2012? (3/15/2011 8:26:05 AM)

Apparently.   I am looking out the window, the world is spinning, we haven't started any new wars for no reason, the republicans have the debt well in hand (LOLOLOLOFUCKINL) and it is spring, and the thaw is on, the only unstable world is in your mind.

Now remember what you said about the asswipe about nothing until taxes is squared away?  I assume we can take that to the bank as the republican method of getting the countries finances fixed.

No but high 40's, which is what Obama actually has, is very high for any POTUS at this point in the cycle.

popeye1250 -> RE: Wanna play GOP 2012? (3/15/2011 11:04:55 AM)

Chris Matthews was on Jay Leno's show last night and he said that the 2012 presidential race is going to be "close."
That's really not a good sign for the know nothing party.

mnottertail -> RE: Wanna play GOP 2012? (3/15/2011 11:07:58 AM)

But you would vote lieberman as an independant anyway, and he aint runnin, so you got no dogs in the fight, right?

Sanity -> RE: Wanna play GOP 2012? (3/15/2011 11:09:12 AM)

You have got to be fucking kidding me ?
The Republican party itself has done nothing but distance itself from that administration.
Add to that you would lose your "teabagger" decoder ring.....wouldn't you?

Gee, I don't know, because apparently you pulled that number out of your ass since I don't see any link to verify it.

Meanwhile, if you scroll up to DK's link you will find that even Rasmussen doesn't have his numbers that low, and he is above 50% in three of the latest polls.
