Who has the checkbook? Let us remember our history on this board, Bush took in a failing economy (so it was said) from Clinton, did a hell of a job with it (so it was said), but  we look at the deficits that have been climbing under republicans since St. Wrinklemeat, and since day one the hue and cry out here is where is all this hope and change we can believe in as you dug in your heels, and at the outset (and it was pretty well agreed by all libtards and socialists here) when, I believe it was Firm asked me, so when does Obama own the deficit?  And I said Jan 20th, 2009 (dem house and dem prez) .

You now got a republican house, you own the deficit, and you ran on the motherfucker and: What you do now, Manuel? Huh? What you do now?

Basil Fawlty.

Corns doubled in price recently, there have been food riots in many of the places where most of the family income is already devoted to food, its seriously hurting a lot of people. The Mideast riots were caused in large part by the global food inflation crisis

You are right. Just heard today that food will cost, on average, 4% more than last month.

Here's a question for you...why is it that 5 mos. after election, 3 mos (being generous) since being sworn in...the republicans own the house deficits while on the OTHER hand, Obama's defenders are still allowed...2 YEARS after he was sworn in...to talk about the mess he "inherited"? If it is still Bush's mess, then isn't the mess the Republican's inherited in the house STILL the Dems?

Well, lets see.

The Republicans, under Bush, inherited a deficit of...69 Billion, according to the CBO.

Bush let with a deficit of 1.3 trillion.

Bushes deficit, the one he owns, is 67.7 Billion

Now, Obama inherited 1.3 trillion from Bush.

The current deficit is 1.645 trillion... actually the highest figure i can find a projection for in 2011.

So, Obama added 34.5 Billion to the deficit.

Thats how I break them down.

Thats how things stand, how they are inherited.

Id be happy if ONE republican or conservative or ballbagger actually accept any blame for the bush years
let alone give up the fact that Obama inherited one clusterfuck of clusterfucks and that the repubs COULDNT Handle it at all
which is why they brought in Palin
snickers

1.3 trillion - 69 billion is 1.231 trillion.

here's a related issue here as well: I've always thought the Republican double think that let them blame everything bad in America between 1980 and 1988 on Carter rather than Raygun a teensy bit at odds with this conviction that the economy currently being in the crapper is entirely down to stuff the Kenyan's done since he was sworn in. Okay, they've raised hypocrisy to a fine art, but even so that's just plain taking the piss, really.
