And the subject of democracy, who says in the end the countres that are going through with this upheaval are going to become democratic countries, true the west hopes they will but that is no saying what will become, for if they are left to evolve on their own, they will make their own 'cracy.

The west has supported countless dictatorships because it was in their best interests.
That's why I find this whole argument so ridiculous, to believe we are on some type of moral crusade to do what is right.
Our governments are doing what they think will benefit our own countries, so let's not pretend that this is something we are doing for the Libyan people.
BP , Exxon Mobil, and Shell have huge investments in Libya.
You have countless countries where there were, and are, brutal dictatorships that committed genocide against their own people but the western countries chose not to get involved because there was no benefit to them.
