I'm a toucher, generally.  in a serious relationship I will constantly touch my partner: as I pass, a hand on the shoulder/tuch on the arm/etc.  Sitting together, I tend to spend a lot of time with light touches.  Stuff like that.

but when I have been bottoming, the desire/need to cuddle is determined by the energy I share with the top.

As I understand the question, do we as the Dominants ENJOY cuddling our submissives especially after a "play date" or sex.

I do. Every time. It is important to me. It is not something I "expect" but something I enjoy doing as a Dom and a Master. I don't think I'm unique in using cuddling during play and not just after play but during it also. Why? Because good play is one that employs contrasts, contrasts like the cane and the feather, ice and hot wax, hard use and you guessed it, cuddling at times throughout play.

My cuddling examples take the form of many meaningfull light and soft caresses to my tightly bound subject after a hard flogging as well as a bite followed by warm lingering kisses and licks on both upper and lower lips after pausing to give her water and a reasurance that I am pleased, so very pleased with her! There is then a long cuddle period after I remove the rope and pick her up and carry her to the nearest couch at the Mark, have water brought and then I hold her and rub her pain away.

Generally I am always in motion when at home. Taking care of my three year old, cooking, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, lol, working out, doing laundry, etc. I almost never sit down unless it is to eat a meal. So, Master will order me to sit on his lap and cuddle sometimes just because He wants to touch me, and He almost always takes advantage of time after sex or "playing" to snuggle as much as He likes.

We don't do much cuddling right after play. But that's because I'm cold and covered with a heavy quilt while he's an inferno dripping with sweat. After I warm up, and he cools down and dries off, then we do. And we sit together watching tv holding hands or just resting a hand on each other. He gropes, I don't.

Great plan! Last fall, I would serve my top a proper meal before and have flannel, electrolytes, and trail mix on hand for me afterwards. (My appetite disappears in anticipation of a beating and returns with a vengeance afterwards.)

Yes, yes, and yes. He LOVES to cuddle and so do I. We are two cuddlebugs and have been known to cuddle for long periods of time....on the couch, in the bed, after a play session at a party or in private.....

I'm a limited cuddler. I like it when I want, how I want, on my terms-shocking, I know.
I am a pretty big toucher, though. I like the electricity of contact.

If we have played hard, I think emotionally we both need a cuddle. The only time he doesn't like cuddling is first thing in the morning when I lay on top of his bladder haha

I'm a cuddler, and (per both men) I'm very cuddly. I'm just a touchy, feelly, needs lots of physical contact type of person. My "love language" is physical touch. I could not be with anyone who didn't like to be touched and cuddled a LOT.

If I may add my two-pennyworth?

I love it when my Sir cuddles up to me after a session as for me it re-inforces the bond between us, especially when he's telling me how pleased he is with me and that i'm a Good Girl etc...

So yes - cuddling is very important... except when he is in an evil mood and has gone to get some ice-cubes...
