Im not happy about that either. And now they are discussing what we really know about the rebel forces. At least the pilot who crashed got a Dr and flowers from them.

Sanity -> RE: Impeachment? (3/23/2011 5:52:53 AM)

Those were the villagers at the crash site, from what Ive read, and some of them got shot up.

They are,as far as I know,a disparate group of dissatisfied citizens of Libya ...dissatisfied at the decades long suffering at the hands of a dictator.
Beyond that I can not claim much knowledge of the rebels political leanings.....beyond the vague desire for what they have identified as freedom(and which I wholeheartedly support in them in that quest)...I would go so far as to say that there are few experts around who would ,t this point ,hazard a guess as to what exactly might follow after Qadhafi....but I would imagine it would be an improvement

Assuming thats true, how is it any different than the Dems and Bush

This is what I really love.

The Republicans push a drama queen talking point about how "he is destroying the country" and then it just gets mindlessly repeated.

Sanity -> RE: Impeachment? (3/23/2011 5:56:10 AM)

To this day Leftists still love to harp on Reagan for his having aided Muslim rebels in Afghanistan during the 1980s so... echoes of Afghanistan, perhaps?

You missed the point.

What became of those rebels in Afghanistan?

They turned on us.

Sanity -> RE: Impeachment? (3/23/2011 6:08:20 AM)

Its true that Bush was a very Liberal spender though I doubt your numbers. Even assuming you are right though, what has Obama done to fulfill his campaign promises to fix it?

The following is from CNBC:

US Approaching Insolvency, Fix To Be 'Painful': Fisher

A debt his administration added very little too. I posted on that somewhere around these boards. He inhereted a 1.3 trillion deficit. Its current at 1.645, i believe. I find it amusing how others wish to chastise the man over something he had no control over.

In contrast, Bush inhereted a 350 billion dollar deficit from Clinton, depending on what source you use. 350 Billion to 1.3 Trillion... thats alot of deficit Bush left for this country.

As to the rest, do you really believe you are armed for this debate?

mnottertail -> RE: Impeachment? (3/23/2011 6:08:55 AM)

So what we have is Sanity backing Obama to the hilt, even wanting to get him another peace prize, he finds it unfortunate that Reagan armed and funded Al Queda, and his many posts catcalling, like the 31 days springsteen routine and all that he profusely and profoundly is heartfelt sorry for, he is wrong, or this is a simple dishonest baiting thread.

Do I about count up how you structured this Tom?

Sanity -> RE: Impeachment? (3/23/2011 6:09:38 AM)

So... Leftists harp on Reagan today for aiding Muslim rebels, but support Obama for doing the same thing today.

Its my opinion you spin so much that youre not just dizzy but youve lost all touch with reality

Apples and oranges.

That wasnt a matter of self determination in Afghanistan, it was an ideological struggle exterior to Afghanistan, when the russkies went in to clean the place up. Now, since we interfered in that effort we are in there at our blood and treasure trying to do the same thing.

Here in Libya...not to serve some ideological imperialistic imperative....

Not that I fully agree with us in Libya, the way we are.

Because Bush was attacked on certain issues, not a broad-based attack that he was destroying the country.

In case you haven't noticed, I'm not supporting our intervention in Libya.

I see him offering some cuts, but the real question is what is the republican house trying to do to fix this?  They hold the checkbook, and constitutionally, the president can advise and consent, but they got the hammer.

And the numbers keep climbing while we play hide and seek on williwaws.

Try not to use so many big words in your responses Sanity, it confuses me.

Moonhead -> RE: Impeachment? (3/23/2011 6:56:52 AM)

You can cite a few examples of people accusing the chimp of destroying the country during his term in office, then?

Sanity -> RE: Impeachment? (3/23/2011 6:57:35 AM)

I see. Aiding Muslims is bad when an imperialist aggressor such as the USSR is committing wholesale slaughter on some of them in the process of consuming a large portion of their territory.

When its an internal struggle though, its our Christian duty to decide which side is right and which side is wrong.

Thank you mnot, for clearing that up...

That's your christian duty.

I never said anything like what you are smearing me with.  You are laughable and pathetic in your attempts to paint true republicans such as myself with your bomb throwing anarchy you call nutsucking.
