I have a problem with folks who burn the American Flag....period. I assign the label anti-American asshole to those who see a patriotic act in such an exercise.
Anytime is appropriate to burn the Koran. Freedom of Speech.

why is it freedom of speech to burn the Koran but not the flag

in both cases the person is sending a message

is it because you approve of one message but not the other?

Very true !

So it stands that destroying symbols of peoples national or religious identity is either allowed or not, one cannot have one rule for one and another rule for another whilst it exists that the symbols represent people.

Perhaps someone wants to remind the man of god, that Hitler also burned books, is he allying with that nutter from history.

Flags, what are they anyway, bits of cloth with colours on them, you think a flag is representative of people, don't make me laugh, people are representative of people, flags are only battle colours, ideally so one side in a battle does not attack it's own side which has various levels of success, but anyway.

That may be how you feel about your flag. Its not an American sentiment.

It's his perfect American right to burn the Koran, and thus is never really "appropriate" or "inappropriate".

It is inappropriate. Its displaced anger.

BTW, are you for or against an Amendment to prevent desecration of the flag?

Im against the amendment, But since it is a right i support those who do in a political protest.

Figures. Since burning the Koran is a right I burn every Koran I get my hands on and support everyone who does likewise.

Here ya go pyroboy. I hope your credit card has a high limit.
