Are you sure that is not a video shot in LA?  I mean you can't trust what some put up as "news" these days

I'm pretty sure the protesters would have taken your police more seriously if they stop wearing those funny hats.

Dorothy Perkins and Topshop eh. Was this the London Branch of the Transvestites Association who just fancied a few dresses and didn't want to pay for them?

With all these protests against the cuts and the numbers of Police Orifficers deployed to control, I am wondering when it will be that the police realise they are in fact part of the herd themselves.

If they had any sense, they would join in on the protests, because the cuts are going to hit them and their families hard too.

The parliament we have elected, is failing to serve the electorate, but then that was not what it was there for anyway.

It seems not, all the money has been wasted on wars to serve the few.

But one thing is for certain, we are sure not all in it together.

I dont know that but regarding topshop they mentioned their way to avoid paying all their tax....

It always makes me *snort* when banks justify their bonuses to keep their top staff...quite frankly if their staff doesnt want to pay without bonuses then let them go to other banks abroad (thats how they picture it in the news sometimes to justify their holy bonuses) its not as if here wouldnt be folks right now who would prefer to work in a bank with getting no or only minimal bonus compared to sitting on the street.

Yup. Social programs, higher taxes-no loopholes, actual regulation in place, actually enforced ...

This will drive a country to ruin.

Witness Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland ....

All net exporters, all with net positive private savings, all with manageable unemployment even in bad times, Sweden with government budget surpluses, ...

It is sad, and I mean for anyone with a heart, just SAD to see the situation in those countries.

If only people would understand that deregulation is the only way. Only $3 trillion or so, thus far, at farcical official estimates. What's that? What price for keeping the money where it belongs? To bond holders and extending more to billionaires.

Wake up, people!

Prevent the catastrophe of Germany; highly educated and well paid people!

This cannot happen to America!

Give it a rest. 500,000 took part in a mainly peaceful protest. 500 anarchists and anti-capitalists decided to cause some trouble. You seem to think there is money to throw around conveniantly skim over the fact we have a deficit we cant afford. Would you rather throw money about ad infinitum until the UK goes bust ?

If what we are being told is true ?

Now this 2011 census, I hear special officers are going to be made available to hound and if necessary fine all those who do not wish to comply with what is an invasion of human rights to some, when much of the information they seek is already available. I just find in a cash strapped economy funding could be found for such special officers.

Now, what exactly is an officer ?

And of the Humanitarian action in Libya, where is the money coming from to fund that.

But, I notice the words; Until the UK goes bust, what are we talking about here, a country or a company ?

Things just plain aren't adding up here.

For situations like Libya there is a contingency fund. As for not filling in the census, they hardly fined anyone for not filling in the last one, why do you think they will start now ( More so since they are saying this may be the last census done in this way )

Yes, contingency funds for actions elsewhere, whilst there are UK citizens it is reported are now relying on food parcels to live.

What is it, bollocks to them at home, there are more important issues elsewhere?
