I see Master as a Godhead, meaning he is the divinity of God within our relationship. It's a very traditional role of the head of the household in which I grew up and it's still what I believe to this day so it's not a strange or unique view for me.

Well once i said i was a God we werer talking aboit domething and i said well i am then he touche me in a certain way and i said God. Master burst out laughing and sais sweethesrt you are a God? he found that so funny it actually was funny.

All joking aside Master is not God he is a man. I don't worship him i love him but not worship. Ther is only one God so how could all Dom's be God/

Matt's littleone

(these are my thought's if you do not believe the same please don't flame me)

I see it as much the same way as parents are Gods to their young children. They provide everything, make things good or bad, etc. They are the center of the child's world. If their parent is happy, usually the kid is happy and life is well.

Pet owners make food come 'out of the air', they create water in bowls, they make day night and night day (light switches), they make sounds and voices come without doing anything (TV, telelphones), they bring toys to life.

Teachers enlighten students, give them the gift of widsom, mentor and challenge them.

Doctors make blood disappear from wounds, and dispense medicines that can make you go to sleep very fast or instantly and have wild dreams, or suddenly be healed, or perform surgeries that can make things which were once in the body not there anymore.

Drivers (whatever the transportation) make you go from one city to another, across the country, or perhaps even across the world in a few hours to a completely new place with no walking involved on your part.

Chefs turn flour and a few other ingredients into a thousand loaves of bread.

All human, with 'godlike' functions if you don't know the human origins.

I don't think dominants are gods, they may just appear that way if you don't know the whole process behind it. If you don't understand the words and language (I know the OP does, just saying) it may be confusing.

For instance, "To my Mistress I give my all" might sound creepy to someone not in BDSM. To a BDSM D/S player, it means a sign of devotion, affection, and love. "I submit to her will and am obedient to her even unto her wrath" would be utterly insane if you were talking about anything but BDSM. But in that context it means something affectionate and adoring, that a human creature chooses to allow one of its species to be in charge of it, and accept the consequences of not doing as his loved one wishes.

My take on it.

Thank you for that visual. It certainly is a step up from what I had in mind.

For Carol and I there's no divinity worship. There's love. There's dominance and submission.

Be careful the pedstals you place your dominant on -

I've seen fellow submissives worship their dominant partner like a god. These same submissives have the hardest time when their partner proves mortal - and needs to be spoon fed chicken soup because of the flu - or loses their job - or cries because of any reason. While they are submissive in the feeding of the chicken soup or - slave like in the handing of tissues to catch the tears - I mentally set a timer and give it six months until relationship end.

Isn't it odd that God has such a huge poly family with billions being submissive to him, and yet his fiercest adherents are dead set against poly?

Their fatality has nothing to do with deification and everything to do with someone desiring a round the clock fantasy. As with most things, it takes two to tango. Perhaps he was on the carousel as well. And just because someone can't succeed in one area doesn't mean the whole entire tribe is doomed. That's merely their deficiency, not mine.

as usual i have not much of a clue what porcelaine is on about but i do understand and agree with janigrey...
when you have been together long enough to have heard and smelled every sort of fart your man might produce... it is not very likely you consider him any sort of god anymore...
my own farts sound cute and smell of rozes obviously

Your inability to comprehend doesn't invalidate the possibility. But it does say it's not applicable for you and yours. my inspiration isn't nullified by a little flatulence. Viva la difference.

Might be helpful if you explained this "god like worship".

Someone said that to me about 7 yrs ago.....* You have him right up there next to Jesus*. They warned me that when he fell I'd be utterly crushed.....Ho hum.

The fact is, I DO worship and adore M in a passionate and faintly pathetic way; not because he's perfect but because he's just got whatever it is that has me there, and he's just right for a wayward little wild weed like me.

I've known him for over 10 yrs and if he was going to fall I somehow think he'd have at least slipped a rung or two by now :)

I believe in worship.  Some people are just "bigger than life", Domly types and subs alike.
I have had the pleasure of owning some ungodly slaves . . . the kind that, "when given an inch, they polish it and give it back".

I have to say that I have a reverential relationship with my Master and it does at the least border on worship. How can I not "worship" the being who has the power of life and death over me while His hand is tightening around my throat, or while I am helplessly tied down at the mercy of His whims? However, I accept completely that He is human. He had a migraine last week and I was holding His head out of the toilet while He threw up, dabbing a cool washcloth on His forehead, feeding Him soup one bite at a time ... this in no way at all tarnished His image as my Master/Lord/God if you will. Anyone who allowed that sort of situation to throw a cog in the gears of their relationship seems to me not to have a very deep relationship with that person. When Master and I committed to each other I knew absolutely in my heart that He was perfect ... for me. Not for the outside world, not for society to judge, not for my friends, for ME. So, when He is "weakened" or just revealing His more "human" side He is still my Master, still perfect, still the man who fulfills, challenges and owns me. Nothing changes that and surely not something so absurd as tears or illness or simply being human.
