Pay off credit cards,-- I do not owe anything on any credit cards Party,-- Hmmm.....you ever notice how years ago if a bunch of bros would be sitting around, one would go through his pockets and they'd all share and party? Well nowdays it is the same except we are sharing Pepcid, Tums, Advil... spoil Family and friends (true ones)--Mine are all well spoiled now Party ---see above Buy a House, --Already own mine. Seriously, I'd fly a few friends in for a big get together somewhere in Trolltopia, then bank the rest for latter use. Ok, and I'd build a new cutom one up.

Same thing I do with any windfall - invest in forex. Might venture out into the dark, scary world of commodities as well... Oh, and probably take 50k and continue my travels.

I'd live exactly as I do right now (old car, house, etc.), except take more vacations. And not take my job so seriously. [:)]

I'd pay off My house and office building (there goes a quarter of it). I've got 4400 SF of metal south facing roof on my building that is just begging for solar panels and the TVA has a deal where they buy the electricity from you at a special rate so the payback is about 7 years. After that it's profit. Lot more travelling to fish in places like Kamchatka and Argentina or Chile (2 dream trips) After that, prob invest in some occupied commercial Real Estate. I'd still work but not as damn hard.

after I got done with my original things (paying off debt, spoiling Mom and good friends), chances are I couldnt afford it, but I love the RV idea.. I miss being a nomad...

Get my daughter a better car, get my son an iphone, replace my kitchen countertops and redo the floors downstairs. Oh and take my car into the shop and have them fix all the annoying things that don't affect driving it but are still a pain. I love my car but somewhere in the next year or two I will have to replace the struts.

One million dollars really isn't much of anything these days. Especially one million gross. After the taxes, it would be about 600,000.00ish. Pay a few small, high interest, no tax benefit things, like credit cards, off. The rest would go into a retirement plan. IRA's etc. I do NOT want to work my entire life away!

One million dollars....I refuse to play "powerball" or "megamillions" till the jackpot goes over 50 million.In which case I have a 10% plan.Two sisters,one late brothers children,my mother,and my son all get 10% stake in the ticket,this is important so as to pay the tax man just once.No sense me collecting it than giving it to them and they then have to pay a tax again. That leaves me with 50% of the prize,there are some friends that I will find a way to slide money to,again avoiding tax penalties for my friends.....after all of that ,it is time for ....drugs ,sex and rock and roll. I have never grown up....this goal has never changed [:)]

Pay the debts first. There's not a lot of that. Just the two car notes and a couple of credit cards. Then purchase a home where we would like to live out our days. (We might have to have some discussion about that, as we have different ideas.) Take 3/4's of whatever is left and invest it. The 1/4 that we'd have left, I'd like to do just a bit of traveling. Nothing that extravagant.

Pay off debts (mostly student loans). Buy a car. Travel/work in Asia for a few years. Then come back and open up a teahouse. Oh, and get my mom the arthritis treatment that she needs. pam

Definitely pay off the mortgage, fix up & sell. Pay off the student loan. I have $100 on a credit card, I'd probably pay that off, too [:D] I've always had this little fantasy of ordering a pair of really nice, shiny, tricked out, testosterone-dripping, quad-cab trucks and having them delivered to each of my sons, who are in their late 20's. Just to watch their little eyes light up, lol. Beyond that, I dunno, just invest it and see where life takes me.
