Oh, and I'd give money to the local humane society here and back home. Enough for them to build and care for the animals that end up there. If I ever one a big one, I'd buy land and build a sanctuary for cats and dogs.....like the ones you hear about that save them from shelters. Those that couldn't be adopted would live their lives knowing that someone cared for them.

I'd buy a house, open an account containing enough to pay off the little people's tuitions through 12th grade, and a college fund for all three of us. With what's left over, a dream vacation for my lil peeps and me. Any spare change in savings.

fr uuummmmmm tricky question. in the uk a million isn't really that much money anymore unless you practically live as a hermit. as a country girl i'd be lucky to even get a property where i live for that sort of money. in fact the closest to me right now with 14acres is priced at 1.2million. so it doesn't have a great deal of scope for me for family and such. also depending on how it was won i may have to be sharing half of that with my playmate. i guess the easiest thing to do is buy the house i have now and do it up. buy a block of land and build my own yard. import andalusian horses (i've bred arabians for years at the top of the game and fancy a change) and breed them. sorry family, maybe next time. needles

Travel. The UK and maybe Australia, with pit stops to see old college friends again. Buy a car, finally! [8\|] Adopt a kitten or two, and have enough to care for them. With what's leftover, split between putting it away in savings, going back to school for my Bachelor's and helping with family stuffs. i'd probably need more than a million for all of that, though. Sigh.

Buy a brand new Cadillac CTS, and move to Fort Collins, CO. Get two pugs from pugrescue.org, and donate to the ASPCA, NPR, and the American Red Cross. From there, begin investing.

In current financial climate what could happen is not easy to forecast, therefore I'll bank the million and gamble with the interest money on football matches. Surely I can't lose. [8D]

I'd live pretty much the same. Since you can't take it with you, I'd consult with my friend who is a financial advisor and use the money to make my children and grandchildrens futures a bit brighter than they are now.
