Goodness, is that all??? Life would be a piece of cake. I have 43 tasks on my list of domestic chores. That's in addition to all the other rules and requirements. And working full time.

Just because Lam said it, I have to...but please, read all the way through before you respond.

When I am approached by a "no limits" slave I question them 500 ways to Sunday about possible limits. When I have determined that this person is going to stick by their "no limits" philosophy I then tell them about My chainsaw fetish and that I'm glad they volunteered. Limits come flying out of the woodwork. I do this in some fashion every time, mainly because most people do have limits, they simply advertise themselves as such because they feel it's more attractive to a Dom/me. That's not to say that there aren't people that have no limits.

My take on limits has been changing over the course of the last few months. There was a time when I was too closed minded to attempt to wrap my head around this possibility. The fact of the matter was that I have limits to what I will do and what I will ask, and because I have limits I assumed that everyone has limits. How arrogant is that? (ahem, that was rhetorical) I have come to realize that there are people in this world that will do things that I wouldn't dream of, and that I've done some things that they wouldn't dream of either.

Another factor, and probably the bigger and more important of the two, is that as I have evolved as a Dominant, I've come to shed a different light where limits come in to play, and it matters not what the limits of the sub/slave are, because if the Dom/me isn't ever going to require the sub to go there the point is moot. As well, when the sub/slave trusts the Dom/me enough to fully submit, their knowledge of each other often surpasses the need to set limits.

I see there being "no limit" slaves on a spectrum that ranges from the slave that wants so badly to submit that they will do anything, anything at all for the opportunity, to the sub/slave that is so confident and trusting in their Dom/me that with that person they have no need for limits.

And, actually, he didn't. The duties page got written at my request. When I met Master his profile said that he was not looking for a domestic slave. After living with him for a year I respectfully pointed out that this was hogwash and that he was very annoyed when domestic duties fell behind. I made a list of all the things that he expects me to take care of on a regular basis and he created a new page on the Rules site for Duties. I did forget one...keeping the ice cube trays filled at all times! Basically all domestic duties are under my care. But these are specific ones that have been discussed at various points in time. The page is also a reminder to him of just how much he expects from me outside of personal and play service and why adding new tasks needs to be considered carefully with all the other things I need to juggle. While between jobs at the moment, I also normally work full time at upperlevel and demanding jobs so sometimes it's difficult to get everything done.

IMO most people do have limits, maybe not all, but the majority. When I see a profile stating they are a no limits slave my initial impression is eager newbie saying what they think will make them more desirable to a Master or Dom. In r/t I am friends with a slave who is no limits except those of her Master. He determines her limits based on his. What he wants goes period, but they have established trust and built their relationship over time. To me no limits is still limits in that it's the Master's limits that determine what is expected and required of the slave. A slave giving up their limits is giving them up to the one they trust, not just no limits to any Master if that makes sense.

Just my rambling 2 cents tossed in.

I think a lot of people who refer to themselves as a no limit slave consider the limits that are of "normal" sense. But, as soon as questions are asked and you dig deeper into that person, you find out the are definately far from "no limits".

On the other hand, there are people who refer to themselves of "no limit" in the sense that they are "no limit" in thier current situation. In that case, i would be a "no limit" slave in my household, because i do each and everything that Master demands... but, if He were to ask me to participate in scat play, my "no limits" would suddenly fly out the window. I, fortunately, know Hw wouldn't ask that of me. I guess it all depends on what someones idea of "no limits" is. But, to sum it up, there is pretty much no slave out there with no limits, everyones got a limit, it's just whether they have been faced with it yet or not.

Would you murder a child if your Master told you too?

Would you go to jail for your Master?

Steal for your Master?

Kill for him/her?

Kill yourself if told to?
believe this or not i have had this same conversation with atleast 2 other slaves long ago here on collarme (will not mention their names tho) that they have actually answered yes they would do all of that unquestioningly.... one of their replies was what if that child was going around murdering other children etc.....
not unlike lucky albatross (tho the fact thankfully has never been put to the test) i could take anothers life in either defense of my own or defense of a loved one or child. and am at peace with dying myself but to kill myself at the whim or request of another is not possible.......
those questions are i suppose to be tests (unproven obviously) of love.....i read somewhere not long ago that the true test of love and devotion was giving someone the key to destroying your life or world, and trusting them enough not to use it.
i hope that this has been an interesting read and answered the question
